"THE date goes perfectly. He look so charming in any angle even the way he talks. His eyes sparkled naturally, ah! I saw his face even in my dreams!"
Ellise happily said while looking to nowhere saying every word with a smile, and dreamingly flapping her eyelashes.
"You're not afraid?" She then exhale and look at Brye with no regret, slowly shaking her head, "You just dated a stranger. " he clarified the last word to show that he's saying had a sense. Oh man, you're acting fool.
He made Ellise's smile widing making her cheeks puffed, "Uhm. that I trust my guts though, and I bet he won't done such things to ruin his image."
"So, will you date me?" Napaubo naman si Demi sa itinanong ni Brye. He didn't expect that one coming.
The other people the table look stunned too, but sincerity and seriousity is on Brye's face.
She then munched and swallow the food before arranging her clothes, "Uhm...sure!"
"Okay then, see you on weekend," Brye replied like it's just nothing but a date.
A deafening silence took over, and either of them never dared to talk again.
"May namumuong pagmamahalan ah!" Basag pa ni Kithene sa katahimikan.
She really know when and where here presence was needed. She used to make everyone felt comfortable, dragging the loneliness to the feild of joyfulness.
Demi's ear wiggled when he heard Ellise's cough as if she'll announce something important. Would she date a nerd? "Okay, sure! You guys are my friends, so why not giving it a shot?"
Demi hissed when his sight landed to Kithene who's amusingly gazing the two who's eyes met. Demi flinched looking at Kithene holding a spoon in both hands with a wide smile on her not explainable annoying face.
"Saturday, three in the afternoon, at the school's rooftop."
"Makakapasok kaya ng hindi weekdays?" Ellise curiously asked.
Again, the deafening silence takes over. Brye being not so sure looked to Demi, seeking for some help to escape the question. Who cannot also think a clear reason. Hindi naman nila pwedeng sabihin na sila ang may-ari, they don't have plans. Yet, it's the only reason for them to get in the school even weekends.
Ellise is looking afar, while the four nerds were sweating thinking for an excuse. Demi then shut his eyes tightly and pinned his gaze to Kithene who's enjoying her meal.
When she noticed his stares, she suddenly look up - meeting his eyes, with a confuse look.
"Hmm?" She asked raising both of her eyebrows with the spoon still on her mouth.
'Acting cute.' Demi whispered, raising the corner of his lips. "How can we enter the school even weekend?"
She smiled by the question, "Sumama kayo sa'kin." Simple nitong usal.
Akky caught everyone in the table's attention when he suddenly scoffed, "Sus! Makikikain ka lang sa date nila e."
It made her pout, "Totoo nga, anytime kasi pwede pumunta ang officers sa school." Makatutuhanan nitong sabi sabay labas ng emerald ID nya at ngumisi, "I'm the secretary..." nag-pause ito saglit at tumaas ang kilay sabay laki ng mga mata nito na tila ba may naiisip na ibang ideya. "Gumawa muna kayo ng kalokohan nang madetention kayo at pwede kayong pumunta dito sa weekend kung ayaw niyo akong kasama."
Ay nagtatampo? Shala, sa kapal ng mukha niya?
"Sumama ka nalang kaysa gumawa kami ng katarantaduhan," ani ni Brye sabay akbay dito, "At tutal sasama ka," he paused awhile and turned to Demi. "Demi, why won't you come?"
