The warning ball rang and people started to run through the hallways of this large school. However, I was not one of the people rushing to get to class before the bell signifying the start of the school day. I was already in a seat, toward the front of the class with Levy on my right and Natsu on the left.
We were chatting about the most random things in the world, like which book was better, Divergent or Hunger Games? Given I had that debate mostly with Levy, seeing as we had the books almost memorized. I had won with Divergent, which gave me gloating rights for the rest of the week.
After this, a debate started in which magic was better, Fire magic or Celestial magic. Of course, I was pining for my magic and he was doing the same, only for his. We hadn't even got close to being finished when the warning bell rang. It was then a tall auburn haired man walked in. He was wearing a cloak and he seemed to have a metal arm and a metal leg.
"Gildarts! How you doing old man?" Natsu shouted out. People were rushing in as the last bell rang, sighing as they had made in time. The delinquents sat in the back of the room when the ginger now named Gildarts replied to Natsu.
"It's been good." He took a seat at his front desk. "My name is Mr. Clive, thought as Natsu had already done, you can call me Gildarts. I'm not like the old geezers that teach here. I'm fun and relaxed, but only if you respect me. If you respect me, then I'll respect you."
"Fight me!" Natsu shouted. I was shocked that he was trying to get this man to fight him. I slapped his arm.
"Didn't he just get done with his little speech about respect?" I asked him through gritted teeth. My pink haired best friend slumped in his seat, crossed his arms, and started to grumble to himself about how weird and mean I was.
But honestly, I could care less.
"Thank you, Ms..." He drawled out, asking for my name.
"Lucy."
"Thank you, Ms. Lucy." He said to me. "He actually does this all the time. He just can't seem to get it through his thick skull that he can never beat me."
"I CAN AND I TOTALLY WILL!" Natsu shouted, hopping from his seat and placing one of his feet on his desk, lighting his hand on fire.
"Natsu Stop!" I exclaimed, jumping from where I was to try and pull him down. However, Natsu was very persistent and stubborn. I could barley make him move a centimeter.
"Ms. Lucy, If you would please move, I would gladly take his offer." Gildarts said, and the entire class almost lost it. A teacher fighting a student. Was this even allowed in the school handbook?
"Soooo... Should we move to the arena?" I asked, stepping away nervously. Levy grabbed onto my arm, about as frightened as I was. My fear spiked when the both shook their head no.
Natsu leaped over his desk, destroying it in the process, and attacked the older man. Though he didn't get very far. He flipped Natsu around his arm and the pinkette flew into the ceiling. That fight was over faster than the one between Erza and Natsu!
This teacher must be very strong. He could easily be the strongest person in this school building right now.
He shrugged as he saw Natsu struggling to get out of the ceiling, and he didn't even bother to help him. He sat back down at his desk. "I hope you enjoy the rest of study hall."
