"Philip, I need you to come pick me up at my dad's house right now. Please." Theo pleaded on the phone.
"Are you okay? Hang on. I'm coming there." Confused, Philip still grabbed his car keys and headed straight to Theo's house.

Philip and Theo were the best of friends so Philip was not really surprised when Theo called him at 2:00 am but the sudden behavior from Theo confused Philip as she and her dad always had a great relationship, she sounded like she was crying through the phone and that made him wonder what happened between her and her dad.

He pulled up at their driveway and saw her waiting near the plants.

"Is there something going on between you and your dad?" Philip asked as soon as Theo went in his car.
"Had a little argument. I wanted to clear my head for now." Was her brief answer.
"Theo, I know it's not just a little argument, if it was, you wouldn't be calling me at 2:00 am."
"Let's go to your house and I'll explain while we're getting there."

He didn't say anymore words and started driving back to his house. While on the road, Theo explained that her father is way too controlling of her, she told Philip the her father's trying to live his life through her and when she speaks back, she'll be silenced or told that she is talking nonsense.

"We're here." Philip said while pulling up on his driveway.
"Thank you, Philip." Theo said smiling sweetly at him.

Theo went to his room and laid down on his bed taking in all the familiar scent.
"Is it alright if I stay here tonight? It's the only room in this house that I'm familiar of. And I can't sleep well if I don't know the room I'm staying in." She asked
"Of course, I'll be at the room next to this."

"I was thinking, you could stay here with me. I really need a friend right now."
"But what if, I don't see you as a friend?"
Theo was confused and she lifted her head to face Philip.
"Philip what do you mea-"

"I hope you won't feel any more distance between us, Philip. I love you too."
