You and Hawk meet Tory and Miguel at a diner about 10 minutes away. You scan the building.
"This place looks like a shithole" you say laughing
"That's because it is a shithole" Miguel replies "Foods great though"
You make your way inside and sit at a booth by an open window.
Hawk sits down beside you and unclips your bird keychain from your back pack.
"Cute." he says smirking at you while tossing it in his hand
"Did you know that her nickname is Birdie" Miguel teased
"Why Birdie?" Hawk laughed
"I don't know. Some cartoon i was obsessed with as a kid." you answered "Eventually my mom just started calling me Birdie" you shrugged
Tory picked up her phone, typed something and put it down. She gestured at you to check your phone.

tory: bathroom?

"Shit i have pee" you said gesturing for Hawk to get up.
"Want me to come with?" Tory asked
"Yes please" you responded
The two of you get up and begin to walk to the bathroom. You hear the boys talking
"Why do girls always go to the bathroom together"
You go into the bathroom and lock the door
"Okay tell me everything!" Tory squealed
You pause for a moment
"Okay so at first we were just hanging out. Talking about random shit you know?" you started
"Mhm go on" she looked at you with excitement
"I threw mulch at him" you laughed "He chased me threw the entire playground. But then he caught me.." you say
Tory's eyes widened.
"It wasn't anything crazy but there was definitely something" you say "It was like this weird tension. I know he felt it too"
"Oh my god YES!" she screamed "I knew it. He definitely likes you"
"Maybe" you replied
The two of you start to leave the bathroom. You notice a creepy middle aged man standing by the door.
"Hey there." he called to you with a creepy smile
You and Tory froze.
"What? Cat got your tongue?" he started to walk closer.
You and Tory backed up.
"Hey guys" a familiar voice called from behind the man
You both look to see Hawk standing behind the creep. A look of anger flashing through his eyes.
"Everything okay?" Hawk asked still staring directly at the man.
"Yeah we're fine" You say
You and Tory push passed the man and started to walk back to the table. Hawk stayed standing long enough for the creep to turn around. He looked him in his eyes before turning to join you. The three of you sit back down at the table.
"What was that about?" Miguel asked
"Some fucking creep" Hawk replied
He glanced over at you.
"You okay?" he asked with a concerned tone
"Yeah i'm fine." you replied.
You glanced at Tory. She had an uncomfortable look on her face. Miguel grabbed her hand making her smile.
The three of you ordered drinks and talked until it was time for them to head to practice.
