One Week

A Friend

Day 1

(Y/n) slowly opened his eyes and found himself in an unfamiliar room. He was freaked out for a moment until last nights events.

He was in Superman's bed. The man of steel had elected to sleep on the couch for the upcoming week.

(Y/n) looked to the bedside table and looked at the clock. It was half past nine, a bit early but Superman probably would have woken him up at some point anyways.

(Y/n) got out of bed slowly before walking over to his bag. Superman had been kind enough to grab a bunch of his stuff from his home. He almost laughed as he noticed the man of steel had included the boys Superman T-shirt among his other clothes.

Once changed (y/n) walked to the door and opened it. "Good morning" he could hear Superman call from where he assumed to be the kitchen.

"Good morning" (y/n) called back as he walked towards where the voice had come from. Once there however he was surprised to see Superman in glasses and a suit while making pancakes. "What's all this?"

"Hm?" He asked before looking down. "Oh. I had to go see my boss, tell him I'll be taking the week off. Pancake?" He pointed to a plate with three pancakes stacked atop it.

"Couldn't you do that over the phone?" (Y/n) asked as he took the plate and walked over to the table.

"I could have. But I also heard someone calling for help a few blocks away" Superman shrugged before flipping one of the pancakes he was still making. "So I decided to go out"

"How noble" (y/n) nodded as he poured some syrup that Superman had put on the table onto his pancakes. He placed the bottle back down before picking up his fork and knife.

"You sleep well?" Superman asked after a moment as he finished the pancakes and turned off the stove.

"Like the dead" (y/n) shrugged as he bit into a piece of his pancake he had cut. "Or close enough for now"

Kal-El transferred his pancakes to a plate before walking over to and sitting across from (y/n). "So what are your plans for me today?" (Y/n) asked before eating another piece.

"Introduce you to some people. Help you make friends" Superman replied as he poured syrup on his food.

"I don't do friends" (y/n) shook his head.

"Everyone needs friends" Superman replied as he cut up his pancakes. "Even Batman if you'll believe that"

"Batman has friends?" (Y/n) gave an unconvinced look.

"Yep" Kal nodded as he pointed to a picture frame behind him.

"Well I'll be damned" (y/n) spoke as he saw the picture of Batman and Superman together. "I've never seen a picture of him"

"Nobody has" Kal shrugged. "He likes it that way"

(Y/n) nodded before going back to eating. "I doubt you'll be able to find anyone willing to be my friend"

"You'd be surprised" the man shrugged as he also went back to eating.

"Anyone in particular in mind?" (Y/n) asked. His only answer was a nod from the man of steel.

"Where are we?" (Y/n) asked as he looked down at the place Superman had flown them to.

"Harvard" Kal replied causing the boy to quickly look at him. "There" he quickly pointed to the ground and (y/n) followed his finger to see it pointing at what this distance he guessed was a redhead sitting alone atop a building.
