"Father" Rhaenyra said, getting Viserys's attention.

"Yes?"

"I have a proposal" Rhaenyra said, walking slowly to her father, cradling her heavily pregnant belly. "I no longer wish to be heir, I wish to live my life with my family, without the burden of the crown"

"Rhaenyra-"

"Listen Father, please" Rhaenyra pleaded. "I believe the heir should be someone you trust more than anyone. Someone we all trust"

"Are you suggesting...?" Viserys trailed off, not quite sure where this was going.

"Yes, I am." Rhaenyra said confidently.

"Laena! When will we be arriving? I want to be there when Rhaenyra has her baby" Laenys said, going to her elder sister.

"Soon sister, we'll be there soon" Laena said.

Laenys was now only about two inches shorter than Laena, but she was still the shortest in her household.

*with Corlys and Rhaenys*

"Did you get Viserys's raven?" Corlys asked, standing beside his wife while both looked out at the sea.

"I did" She replied, not looking at him.

"Should we let Laenys accept this offer?"

"It's not up to us anymore Corlys, it's up to Laenys, and whatever she chooses we will be right behind her" Rhaenys said firmly, walking across the deck.

"What was that about?" Laenys asked, coming to stand next to her father.

"Nothing bad darling" Corlys reassured, smoothing out her curly white locks.

"If you're sure" Laenys said, unconvinced.

The rest of the journey was spent in silence, no one really talked to one another until the ship docked.

"Laenys, no running off this time" Rhaenys said, giving Laenys a pointed look.

Laenys simply gave her mother an innocent look and tilted her head.

"She is 13 years of age, almost 14 years of age now Mother, you should let her go" Laena whispered to Rhaenys.

Before anyone could get another word in Laenys took off towards the castle. Rhaenys watched, sighing with exasperation and rolling her eyes.

"Okay...maybe she doesn't listen" Corlys said, watching Laenys.

"Of course you wait until now to notice" Rhaenys said, completely unamused, but continued to walk up the stone path to the castle.

"Where is she?!" Rhaenyra yelled, sweat dripping down her face as she clenched the sheets on her bed.

"She's right here! And she has a name" Laenys said, waltzing into the room, her dark blue dress flowing behind her.

"Oh thank the gods!" Rhaenyra cried as she reached for Laenys, who took her hand while Rhaenyra's labour's continued.

"Come on Rhaenyra, you've got this" Laenys encouraged, wiping hair from Rhaenyra's clammy face.

Rhaenyra bared down, screaming as she pushed. She was squeezing Laenys's hand so hard that Laenys's fingers were starting to turn purple.
