Kings Landing, 129AC
"No, absolutely not" Laenys said firmly, walking down the long corridor.
"Can you at least think about it?" Cregan said, following Laenys like a lost puppy.
She came to a sudden stop, turning around sharply to face Cregan.
"I will not have my son as heir" Laenys said, not wavering.
"Why? He comes from three of the strongest houses, Stark, Targaryen, and Velaryon, and if we want to get literal he also comes from House Baratheon considering your grandmother was a Baratheon." He said, arguing Laenys's reasoning.
"The people will not accept Rhaegar as heir to the Iron Throne, and will usurp the throne upon my death when he's supposed to be crowned" Laenys said "he is a bastard, and it's time you accept that"
To everyone else, it seemed cruel that Laenys was calling her son a bastard, even if it was true. But she wanted to protect him, and making him heir to the Iron Throne would put him in danger and it seemed that no one really understood that. Especially Cregan.
"Laenys! Wait!" Cregan said, grabbing her arm and stopping her from going any further. "Come back to Winterfell with me. I can convince Alysanne to leave and we can be wed, and you can be with our son"
She stared at him, her jaw tense as she yanked her arm from his iron grip.
"No"

Chaos.
Screaming.
Blood.
"GO!" Laenys yelled, shoving Rhaenyra out the door.
"I won't leave you here!" Rhaenyra yelled back, trying to have her go with her.
"You all need to go, I'll find Luke and send him to the dragon pit, but you all need to leave" Laenys said.
Rhaenyra reluctantly backed away, and turned to run down the hall.
Laenys grabbed the fabric of her dress in her hands, making it easier for her to run.
"Luke! Rhaegar!" Laenys yelled, looking for her nephew and son.
Laenys yelped when a loud roar screeched through the air. She turned, looking out a large window and stopped in horror.
She watched as Vhagar flew through the sky, leaving trails of tire behind her, and she saw faintly the flint of silver hair from her rider.
"Aemond" Laenys whispered, her lips curling in anger before she went on with her search.
When she reached the dining hall, she saw slight movement coming from under a corner table. She quickly made her way over, her heels echoing against the stone walls.
She lifted the white cloth from the table to see under it and the two figures under nearly jumped out of their skin.
"Get up, get up!" Laenys hissed, trying to usher to two boys from under the table.
Luke was the first to crawl out, followed by Rhaegar who was immediately picked up by Laenys.
"We need to go, quickly" Laenys said, holding Luke against her side while Rhaegar sat on her hip.
She and Luke were running through passage ways, trying to get to the dragon pit with Rhaegar holding tightly to Laenys.
As they got closer to the dragon pit they could hear yelling and fighting getting closer to them, and Laenys ushered Luke to go faster.
The sound of running footsteps were catching up, so Laenys made a decision that she really didn't want to make.
"Luke, I need you to take Rhaegar and leave. Get on Arrax and meet everyone else at Dragonstone. If you're fast enough you might be able to catch up to the rest" Laenys said, placing Rhaegar on his feet.
"But Au-" Luke started, beginning to panic.
"We don't have time to argue, do as you're told and go" Laenys said sharply, hugging Luke and kissing Rhaegar on the head.
She watched as the two turned to run, Rhaegar in-front of Luke, when a giant part of the stone ceiling fell directly in front of Rhaegar, nearly killing him.
Laenys knew why that happened. Vhagar had landed in the Dragon pit, and she was pissed that they nearly killed Rhaegar.
Luke had Rhaegar by the arm, running with him, leaving Laenys alone.
Laenys straightened her back, and her face became hard as she turned around to face the soldiers that had just entered the hall.
"Grab her!" They yelled, running at Laenys and grabbing her arms roughly.

Alicent and her children stood in the throne room, waiting for Laenys to be dragged in by the Greens soldiers.
When the doors to the throne room finally opened, they revealed Laenys being dragged in, her face bloody and bruised and her once blue dress was now stained with blood.
"Ah, Laenys. Glad you could finally join us" Alicent said, smiling viciously down at Laenys.
"Alicent" Laenys said, her voice hard.
"Aegon will be crowned king tomorrow, you can either bend the knee and stand with us or refuse and die" Alicent said, grabbing Laenys's chin roughly.
Laenys didn't say anything, just stared at Alicent with hate in her eyes.
"Take her to her cell" Alicent said, releasing Laenys.
