I could feel myself being shaken when I opened my eyes. I looked up to see the darkened outline of Julius's jaw. He was looking out into the night and I could feel something different in the air. I knew I was dead because I was stabbed but here I was looking up at him. I moved my hand to my stomach and the wound was gone in place was a tattered and torn hole where it should have been. When I looked back up Julius was looking at me a scared look on his face.

"Hi..." Was all he said as I sat up looking around.

"I feel weird." I gave him a smile and he shook his head.

"Are you hungry?" He pushed and I shook my head.

"No I just feel like I can lift a house." I smiled and he furrowed his brows.

"So no hunger at all?" He smiled and I laughed.

"No I am not hungry, I mean I could eat like some bread if you have some but no I am not hungry. Why?" I looked out into the night admiring its beauty.

"I was scared that I might have turned you into what I am." He looked out of the carriage as I looked at him.

"I... what?" He smiled and then looked at me.

"I didn't know what else to do so I fed you my blood. It healed you but I was scared you would change with the amount of blood you lost." He pushed a strand of hair out of my face and I furrowed my brow.

"Wouldn't you know if you had changed me I mean how were you changed?"I asked and he blinked.

"I was born this way. I mean I have only seen one person changed before and they were fed blood while being drank from. It takes draining you of your blood completely and replacing it with mine." He looked me over and I laughed.

"So you were born? As in your mom had you like a baby?" He shook his head and rolled his eyes.

"Yes I was born this way... like a baby with a mom." His eyes looked me over and I blushed feeling stupid for not knowing.

The conversation had died down and the ride became one of silence. I could feel the questions he had for me. I knew he was worried about me becoming like him. He wanted to make sure I didn't want to kill Harry our driver. I chuckled at the thought which warranted a smirk from Julius.

"I don't find that funny Miss Dumont." I looked at him confused.

"What? You don't find what funny?"

"You killing Harry I don't find that funny."

"Did I say that out loud?"

"No, you didn't, funny thing is when my blood is flowing through your veins I can hear your thoughts."

"You can what?" I hissed and he laughed.

He crossed his arms and looked at the moon; the light from the moon lit his facial features up and I couldn't help but admire him. I was going to make this trip a living hell for him but I think I will just take James's advice and go with loving him no matter what. He saved my life when he could have just left me there to die.

I picked up my book that had been bouncing around on the floor and dusted it off. I smiled and placed it in the coroner of the carriage and then straightened out my now mess of a dress. The hole was larger than the stake and I was sure it was due to someone tearing at it. I let my fingers fondle the tattered area of the dress and get lost in my thoughts.

"There is a town up here and I am sure we can get you a dress to get you the rest of the ride." Julius's voice woke me from my thoughts of my family his mansion and the man I killed.
