Her

It felt like I had been standing there for hours waiting for the door to open. I wanted to barge in and take her into my arms but I held in my eagerness. I was becoming impatient as I could hear the clicking of heels coming closer to the door. My heart began to hammer in my chest as the clicking became closer and closer. 

I was ready, I could do this and keep my calm. I could do this......

The door opened and there, like an angelic creature she stood. A loud crash shook me from my own shock to see that she had dropped the plates she was holding. Glass shattered everywhere and the voices that I had herd in the back had silenced.

"Elizabeth is everything alright?" I heard a mans voice and I went ridged. I could hear large foot steps and then there a man appeared. He was my height and had messy black hair. He was well built. His eyes were green like Elizabeth's. He let one arm find the small of her back and the other opened the door the rest of the way. His eyes met mine and then he went back to tend to Elizabeth whom was just staring at me.

"Miss Elizabeth is everything okay?" Another male voice and a blonde man appeared. He was tall and built... it was like she was surrounding herself with handsome good looking men on purpose. This one was less touchy and bent to began picking up the glass.

"Miss. Elizabeth...." He asked again and she shook out of her shock and looked to the dark haired man. 

"Yes, everything is fine I just was caught off guard is all. Would you mind finishing the table.... add one more plate." She stepped back and looked at someone whom I could only assume was James. 

I was let into the home and walked to the kitchen where James, Cat and the two men were setting up for lunch. James's face was one of horrific shock and Cat looked smug and a bit amused. I thought that strange of her but shook it off. 

"I presume you know this man...." The dark haired man whispered to Elizabeth as they prepared lunch. 

"Yes, I do." 

"Well, you seemed quite shocked when you saw him should I be worried?"

"No, you should not be worried he is someone I just was not expecting to see."

They made their way to the table and began to set all the food out. Everyone sat down and I shortly followed. Jame, Cat, and Elizabeth looked at me.

"What do we owe the pleasure Lord Julius?" Cat spoke up and Elizabeth looked at her with daggers in her eyes.

"I am here on business, I did not know it would be with Miss Elizabeth." I gave James a look like I was angry with him.

"Business? With me?" Her voice cracked a bit and I could see the panic in her face.

"Yes, the land next to your property, I understand that you have made an offer?" I picked up my dinner roll and took a bite. Her face changed immediately, she was now on the defense.

"Yes, I did I know what I am doing Julius.... if that is why you are here I can assure you that I am more...." I cut her off and smiled. 

"No, I did not mean you were not doing well I just..... I was looking into the land myself." She looked down and shook her head.

"You can not have it...." 

"I beg your pardon? If I want..." I closed my mouth. 

"I need that land...."

"Maybe we should talk about this in privet..." I asked and looked to all the eyes that were on them.

"Agreed, let us finish with lunch and I will speak with you over a sweet treat."

"That sounds like a plan." I finished the food given to me along with everyone else.

Everyone got up and left the table leaving Elizabeth and Cat to clean up. As I watched them cleaning the Dark haired man came back in. He walked to Elizabeth and began to speak with her. I could barely hear over the water running and the dishes clinking together. He was very close to her and she was close to him.  When the water shut off I caught the end of the conversation.

"Logan I will be fine! I have Cat and James here...." 

" I know I just have never seen you so upset before.... I am just worried."

"I know Logan, I will be fine. Do not forget to take plenty of water out with you boys."

"I wont....." He touched her cheek and she smiled at him like she use to smile at me. My heart slammed into my chest and I sat up straight.

I was about to get up and rip his head off but I felt two hands on my shoulders and James's voice in my ear.

"What did you expect Julius..... She waited for a year and you never came. She is trying to move on..... do not mess this up for her."

I sat back and my now red eyes were subsiding to blue. Elizabeth came to the table with two slices of pie and some milk. She sat them down and then seated herself next to me at an angle. She began to cut into her pie when James finally spoke.

" I think we should leave these two alone Cat do you not agree?" She nodded and walked out the back with James. They left me here alone with her. 

"So, Business...."

"Liz... "

"No.....!" She hissed at me and stood up.

"Liz wait!" 

"No! I waited for you for a year! I was so in love with you and I thought you loved me too! I am finally moving on and you show up!"

"So that Logan.... he is the one you are moving on with?" I rose my voice and stood up.

"Yes, He is here for me! He wants to be with me!" 

"Have you told him about me? Have you told him about how I bedded you? How I took your innocence first? Tell him that and see if he still wants you!" 

" How dare you bring that up! You have no right!" 

"I have every right! You...."

"No! You lost that right when you sent me away like , like some play toy you were done with!" 

"I sent you away so I would not hurt you! Oh, or do you not remember me almost killing you!"

" Sent me away to protect me? HA you are something else you know that!" 

"ME? You are something else I cant ..... You are mine Elizabeth and you always will be! Remember that I am not going to let you go!"

"You already let me go... you let me go a year ago remember!" 

I pulled her to me and tangled my hands in her hair. I tilted her head back and let my lips find hers. She resisted me but soon I felt her hands in my hair and her lips moved with mine. I pulled away and looked her in her eyes. She was the most perfect creature I had ever met and yet so imperfect at the same time. How could I do this to her?

"Get off of me!" She pushed me away and began to the living room. 

"Julius we are done... you had a whole year to come to me and sweep me off my feet and instead you wait till I am done with you to do it....I am at a loss."

"Fine you want to be done with me so be it.... I want a room here is all and may the best business man win!" I walked out the front door and to my coach to grab my things. I would show her that she still wanted me. I would show her that she was mine. I would haunt her every day and night if I had to.

Oh, Boy..... I hope this dose not turn into a mad house......
