<Scene high school classroom - midday>
Mr. Urahara, the students' homeroom teacher, gave them a creative writing assignment. Everyone had to write a short story about what they want to experience in the future that seems far-fetched, such as being CEO of a $1,000,000,000 company at 18 years old or even being the first to set foot on an unknown planet. Orihime, on the other hand, wanted to write about something simple. She hoped that whatever she wrote could happen soon.
Orihime: (I can't help but wonder what it's like to fall in love. Have I ever fallen in love, or was it just infatuation?)
She smiled and almost giggled at what she wrote, thinking the scenarios could be far-fetched, too.
Orihime: (...And I would experience being in a love triangle from two guys I know who secretly had feelings for me. I had to choose one. Or maybe I can choose both!)
Her imagination started to go wild. Orihime couldn't stop writing about the possible love scenarios, both realistic and surreal. She wasn't sure if she needed to read her story out loud after she's done, so she didn't write the names of the guys she wanted to be involved with.
Orihime: (But I'm curious about Ulquiorra and Grimmjow. They're not likely to fall in love with me. The indifferent look Ulquiorra gives me and the hatred I sense from Grimmjow...)
Out of curiosity, she peeks at what Ulquiorra was writing. He was sitting next to her and sensed her checking what he's writing.
Ulquiorra: Mind your own business.
Orihime: Wh-what... I-
Mr. Urahara: Orihime, is there something you want to say?
Orihime: I, uh... well... no...?
Ulquiorra: She was taking a peek at what I was writing. That is all.
Mr. Urahara: Ah, Orihime...
Orihime: B-But I'm done writing! Hehe!
Mr. Urahara: Alrighty. Hand it over.
Orihime walked over to Mr. Urahara and handed her the paper filled with her imagination: the love life she wants to experience at least once. She smiled sweetly until she reached her desk. Behind her seat was Grimmjow glaring at her.
Grimmjow: Done already, huh? Speed isn't everything, bitch.
Orihime: (He always wants to win, no matter who or what it is. That look in his eyes is void of love, just like Ulquiorra, but a bit different.)
Grimmjow: What's with that look? You mad or something?
Mr. Urahara: Grimmjow, quietly finish up, please.
Grimmjow gave Orihime one last look before she sat down. She couldn't tell if it was indifference like Ulquiorra, but it didn't seem nice. Soon after, Mr. Urahara spoke a few seconds before the school bell rang.
Mr. Urahara: Time's up! Stop writing! And don't worry, school will be over soon...
<Scene teacher's office - late afternoon>
Mr. Urahara read each creative writing paper from earlier. Almost each one was absurd, including Orihime's. He chuckled a bit when he read a few sentences from Orihime's short story.
Mr. Urahara: Pfft! A love triangle? It's like she wrote it for a movie!
He started to laugh and caught the attention of the other teachers.
Mr. Urahara: (So, Orihime wants to live in a fantastical romance movie. Kissing underwater with magical crystals surrounding them? Dancing together on the moon? Ridiculous!)
The last bit of her story confused him.
Mr. Urahara: "And the three of us lived happily ever after?" Is she saying that she's keeping both of these guys instead of choosing one after all that!? Haha! What a love life!
After Mr. Urahara was finished with his work, he walked out of the school building thinking about Orihime's story.
Mr. Urahara: I can't wait to see your story come true, Orihime. Though it does sound far-fetched. Hehe.
