<Scene high school swimming pool - early afternoon>

Orihime and the rest of her classmates wore their school swim suits and stopped in front of the school pool. Ms. Yoruichi, their P.E. teacher, threw several swimming boards on the ground.

Ms. Yoruichi: Everyone, get your boards. We're going to do some exercises in the pool.

Grimmjow: Who needs this board when I could easily out-swim you all?

Ulquiorra: Get one.

Grimmjow: Shut it.

Grimmjow picked one off of the ground and stood in front of Ulquiorra. Then he noticed Orihime next to Ulquiorra and handed her the board. Grimmjow smirked and stared Ulquiorra down.

Grimmjow: I got one.

Orihime: Um... thanks, Grimmjow.

Ulquiorra: You just handed it to her.

Grimmjow: You never said, "keep one."

Grimmjow chuckled and crossed his arms. Expecting Ulquiorra would strike back at him with an insult, Ulquiorra took the board from Orihime's hands and shoved it on Grimmjow.

Ulquiorra: Keep it.

Grimmjow: Hey! What's the big idea!? You wanna fight!?

Ulquiorra picked up two boards. He kept one for himself and gave Orihime the other board. Orihime smiled sweetly at Ulquiorra. Grimmjow's chest suddenly tightened by the sight of them.

Orihime: Thank you, Ulquiorra.

Ulquiorra: Of course.

Grimmjow: (What the hell... this pisses me off.)

Grimmjow: HEADS UP!!

Grimmjow picked up a board from the ground and threw it at Ulquiorra, but it ended up hitting Orihime's stomach.

Orihime: Ngh!!

Her board slipped from her hands, and she fell into the pool from the hit.

Grimmjow: Tch. That's what happens when you're near Ulquiorra.

Ulquiorra: You idiot. Is there anything useful in that brain of yours besides winning and fighting?

Grimmjow: None of this would've happened if you weren't near Orihime.

Orihime didn't get out of the water after what felt like minutes. Some expected her to rise from the water immediately, but that didn't happen after falling in from Grimmjow's strong hit.

Orihime: (It hurts... it hurts so much... someone... help me...)

Ms. Yoruichi walked over to where she heard the splash.

Ms. Yoruichi: What's going on here?

Grimmjow: Well... I was trying to hit Ulquiorra, but Orihime was in the way, so... plus I didn't know she can't swim...

Ms. Yoruichi: Why would you do that, Grimmjow!? If I see you do something like that again-

When Ms. Yoruichi yelled at Grimmjow, she heard another splash behind her. Ulquiorra jumped into the water to save Orihime from drowning. The students were shocked that Ulquiorra of all people would save Orihime from drowning. They expected Ms. Yoruichi to save her. Everyone stopped talking, waiting for when Ulquiorra and Orihime would rise from the water.

Grimmjow: Isn't saving your student from drowning your job? You aren't a very good teacher.

Ms. Yoruichi: Grimmjow!!
