"Was it awkward?" Aubrey asked as she pushed more pineapple into her mouth.
"It really was." I laughed as I set my head down on my table to try not to think about it.
I walked over to the cubbord and grabbed a can of spagetti O's. I put them into a bowl and pushed them into the microwave. I waited impatiently for the beep of the microwave.
"Was he big?" She giggled.
"Aubrey!" I snapped as I grabbed the spagetti O's from the microwave and sat back down at the table with Aubrey.
She smiled over at me and didn't say anything she just stared at me. I laughed a little as I pushed some food into my mouth. Chewing on it as she smiled at me.
"Do you think it worked?" She asked.
"Well I hope so because no offence, River is good looking but I don't think I want to do it again. It was really awkward." I laughed.
"What if he came over right now and was like Ramona come get into my bed?" She asked trying to talk like a man.
"I'd be like mm nigga get outta here!" I laughed as I wacked my head on the wall in the process of trying to be funny.
"Ramona!" Darla sqealed as she ran over and crawled up on my lap.
I played with the three year olds hair as she sat on my lap eating some of my spagetti O's that were left in my bowl. She got sauce all over her face making Aubrey laugh at the little toddler who was smiling happily on my lap.
"Ramona somebody's here!" Haydey yelled from the living room.
I got off of the chair and walked over to the sink, setting Darla down on the counter. I grabbed a wash cloth and got it went under the sink before laughing at Darla's face.
"Well answer the door you lazy sack of bones." I laughed as I started to wash off Darla's face.
"Uhh Ramona." Aubrey warned as Darla squirmed around.
"Darla stop moving." I laughed as I continued to wash the sauce off of her face.
I turned on my heal to see River standing there with his boys in the doorway. River was smiling at me as I set Darla on my hip. He seemed pleased to see me after our session of "baby making". I looked over at Aubrey who seemed to notice the tension in the room.
"Umm Tony should be back soon, he just ran out to get pizza so." I said setting Darla down on the ground to go play with the other boys, "Go play baby."
"Why don't y'all go outside so I can fix a salad or something. If you could run to the store and get some pop?" He asked looking over at me.
"Umm yeah i'll go. Can you watch the kids outside?" I asked Aubrey.
"Of course." She said as she hugged me and walked outside with the kids.
I grabbed my keys and walked outside to my truck that was sitting in the driveway. I haven't been driving a whole lot since i've been home with Aubrey or watching the younger kids. Now that Nate and his boys will be over more often I think Tony will be okay with letting me drive more often since there's going to be people here to keep an eye on the kids.
"I'll come with." River said hopping into the passenger side without giving me time to respond.
I ignored his stupid comments all the way to the store. I got out of the truck as quickly as possible and walked into the store with River walking behind me. I walked down a few isles not knowing where the pop was at. How did I not know? What was wrong with my memory?
