Short chapter to start getting back in...

[Author POV]

Evie, Jay, Carlos, and Ben left for the Isle in a rush. None of them wanted to waste another minute waiting. Jay drove the limo while Ben opened the barrier. It had been a long time since they had been back to the Isle. Carlos shivered and shyly spoke: "how far away is the Horned King's castle?" Evie looked at the map and saw where they were. "We're at the barrier entrance, now we just have to go East two miles towards Brambleberry Thicket." The four kids made their way slowly down a winding, dirt road. They all hoped they would have enough time to save Mal.

[Mal's POV]

My eyes fluttered for a moment before I realized where I was. Fairy Godmother's office! I was on a lush emerald couch that seemed to be out of place in the room. The room was covered in dusty blue trinkets and trim. Imagine seeing a beautiful blue room with a green couch. Well, whatever. As I slowly got up, FG rushed to my side.

"Mal, you should be resting!" "I don't want to rest FG! I want Ben and my friends!" Fairy Godmother shook her head and sighed. "Ben and your friends went to get something for you to help save you." I was confused. What would they be looking for? "Fairy Godmother, where are they?" She turned her head to the side, apparently not wanting to look me in the eyes.

"They went to the Isle to find the Horned King's skull."

[Carlos' POV]

We finally reached the thicket that was covered in brambles. Ben used his sword to slice through some of the brambles ahead of us. Jay and Evie looked at the map again, seeing where the next place was. There was a green orb of light above us, but no one seemed to notice it.

"Um, guys?" I trembled. None of them were listening. "Guys!" Next thing we knew, we were caught in the brambles and the green light came toward us to reveal one person. Maleficent.
