"Hello, there, beautiful girl," I'm greeted by Brighton, who wraps me up in his arms as soon as he enters in the house. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"I was just thinking," I say, sneaking my arms around his waist, "about what you said to me that night and I couldn't stop thinking about it."
"I knew you'd come around," he smiles, his bright blue eyes gleaming at me. "You're a smart girl. It was bound to happen."
"You're just hard to resist," I say, smiling, though a tinge of guilt pulses in my body. I'm kinda using him...
"Am I?" he chuckles and gives me a squeeze. "Well, what does a sexy girl like you want to do today?"
I look around and shrug, looking back at him. "I haven't actually thought through that yet except for just hanging out with you."
"Why don't we just go in your room and hang out on your couch?" he suggests. I shrug and nod, grabbing his hand and walking toward the room. I really don't have any ideas in my mind of what to do, but hanging out with him and fighting back against Jake is definitely what I have in mind and this is a great start.
"Sorry about the mess," I apologize just to say something as we enter the room. The only thing that's messy about my room is just the clean clothes I haven't put away yet, but other than that it's pretty spotless.
"If you saw my room, this wouldn't be a mess at all," he says, following me to my couch and plopping down. I climb into his lab and wrap my arms around his neck, which I can tell is surprising to him, but he doesn't resist it.
"I take it you and Young are a thing of the past now?" he guesses, turning his head to look at me.
"Absolutely," I nod. "He is the biggest dirtbag in the history of dirtbags. I can't believe I was stupid enough to go for him."
"Aw, honey, don't take it too hard," Brighton coos, twirling a piece of my hair in his fingers. "It's not your fault. You had no idea what kind of person he really is."
"I still feel dumb," I sigh, looking up at the ceiling.
"Well, there's no need because I'm more than willing to step in his place as your boyfriend," he states, which makes my heart skip a beat.
"Really?" is all I can splutter out, which makes me sound like an idiot, but he doesn't seem to notice.
"Of course. Would you be okay with that?"
"Would it offend you if we gave it a few weeks?" I say, frowning at the situation. "I just want to make sure I'm healed so I can give a relationship my all."
"Absolutely, sweetheart. I'll wait," he smiles with those mesmerizing blue eyes and it takes all I have not to start making out with him on the spot. Instead, I just sit and cuddle with him in silence, feeling extremely grateful to have somebody to help me through my emotions. To think a few weeks ago I would rather have killed myself than be near him...
"Thank you," I say, smiling at him. "That doesn't mean we can't start dating each other, though."
"We'll show Young what a real relationship is made of," he grins and starts rubbing my arm, which doesn't help me resist kissing him again.
"Please," I agree, staring into his eyes. He meets eye contact and starts to lean in.
"You're amazing," he whispers before his lips come crashing on mine. I slide my hand to the back of his neck and start kissing him passionately. He starts kissing me back and immediately his hands start roaming over my arms, legs, and stomach.
I allow myself to be brave and feel his strong, muscly arms as we keep kissing. Our kiss turns into many little kisses and his hand trails down my back and around to my stomach, where it lingers for a short while.
