"Brighton!" I gasp, staggering back in surprise. He quickly puts his fingers to his lips, attempting to shush me, but it doesn't work. "What the crap are you doing here?!"
"Shh," he says, sliding through my open window as I slowly inch away from him. My heart is hammering hard and I'm not sure whether I want to scream or chew him out.
"What are you doing here?!" I repeat, not bothering to soften the volume of my voice.
"I just wanted to see you," he whispers, sitting down quietly on my desk chair. "It's been a while and I just wanted to come say hi."
"It's been a while for a reason," I snap. "You were a huge pest and therefore you are not welcome here."
"Aw, Sam, don't be rash, honey," he frowns, patting my bed for me to sit on. I ignore his gesture and fold my arms, glaring at him.
"I'll be as rash as needs be. The last time we ran into each other, you said and did things that bothered me and I'm not putting up with your nonsense anymore."
"Like what?" he asks, confused.
"You stole my brother's girlfriend and you said it was because I broke your heart," I remind him. "You also punched me in the face."
"Which I feel really bad about," he frowns. "I'm sorry."
"It's not a big deal anymore," I shrug, trying to avoid any more sympathy. "The point is that you've lost your chance and I don't care to see you anymore."
"Sam," he frowns. "Please?"
"Please what?" I ask.
"Please give me another chance," he begs. "I screwed up big time from the time we've first met and on, but please, can I have a second chance to make things right?"
I'm about to tell him off, but he reaches out and takes one of my hands, stroking it softly. My first reaction is to try and pull my hand away, but he stands up and pulls my hand closer to him.
"I will do anything," he says softly, staring into my eyes.
"I can't, at least not now," I finally say, but I can tell he's not going to take it.
"Sam, I will do anything. You are the most beautiful girl I've ever met and I want to make you happy. You're perfect and I want to show you just how amazing I think you are. Please, let me in," he pleads with me. I'm left completely speechless. I didn't realize such a brat could be so sincere and sweet all in the same moment and all I can do is stare him in the eyes. He takes one of his hands and places it on my cheek, softly stroking it, which makes my emotions for him even stronger. Before I can think twice, I do something I'm sure to regret.
I kiss him.
I start kissing him right on the mouth and he immediately starts kissing me back. My hands lace around his neck, pulling myself closer, and he wraps his arms tightly around my waist. We kiss very gently at first, just sharing a tender moment. I feel so alive, so amazing and it scares me, but I continue kissing him and he does the same to me.
As the time goes, the kiss becomes more heated. My fingers become tangled in his brown locks and he starts feeling around my torso and rubbing my arms up and down. Our kiss becomes more of a make out session and when his tongue brushes along my lips to enter, I don't hesitate to let him in.
When I feel the need for more air, I stop kissing him and try to take a step back, but his arms don't allow me to do so. Instead, he holds me close and doesn't let up.
"Gosh, you're beautiful," Brighton breathes heavily and stares into my eyes, making me blush a little. To hide my blush, I start kissing him again, starting another long and heated kiss.
After nearly ten minutes of kissing, we finally pull back to give each other a break. He touches his lips and sighs, looking to be in a daze while I just sit and ponder what just happened. The kiss was amazing and I feel a pounding desire for more, but my mind wanders back to my sadness, which makes me want to throw up.
I've just cheated on Jake for real...
"Oh, no," I gasp, touching my own lips as if it will erase what I've just done. My heart starts pounding even harder than it was while I was making out with Brighton and I almost start crying on the spot.
"Sam, what's wrong?" Brighton immediately grips my arm in a panic as I start hyperventalating.
"That shouldn't have happened," I start, pulling my arm away from him again as if the kiss hadn't happened. "I am so sorry, I shouldn't have led you on like that. I need you to go. That shouldn't have happened. I am so sorry."
"Sam, what's wrong? What the crap?" he exclaims as I start pushing him toward the window where he came. He grips my arms and holds me back, which makes me panic even more.
"I have a boyfriend and I kissed you. I am the worst human being on the planet. I can't believe I just did that," I say, starting to sob violently. "You need to go. Again, I'm so sorry. Please forgive me."
"Sam, there's nothing wrong with that. If you want me, then dump him," he says, giving me a little shake. "It's going to be okay. He doesn't have to know."
"No, he does and I love him with my whole heart," I say, sniffling loudly. "Please just go. We can't be together. I'm so sorry."
"This isn't over, Samantha McFarland," he says as he lets go of me and sits on the window seal to head down the tree. "You and I are meant to be together. I know you felt that when you were kissing me and I'm going to prove it to you. Avoid me all you want, but soon you'll come to your senses and realize that I'm the one."
With that, he grabs on the tree and swings down from my window. I watch out the window and see him run away, my sobs being louder. When he's out of sight, I close the window and fall on my bed, letting my hurting heart pour out.
Welcome to the bad girl club, Sam, I think to myself as the tears begin to soak my pillow. Maybe you're not the person everyone thought you to be after all.

A/N: Hey everyone! Thanks so much for reading!
First off, I'd like to apologize for my nearly two months of no updates. Life is crazy. There's no telling what will happen in the next week or two weeks and it all kinda gets thrown at me at once. However, one of my goals this year is to finish this book by summer, so I'm going to try hard! I'm guessing if I try hard enough, I can have it done by March, but we'll see. Like I said, no promises, but summer is my goal.
Second off, wow! The Bad Boy's Sister has 25.4K reads on it right now! I mean it's not a huge amount compared to some, but it's a dream come true for me! I can't believe it! Woohoo! Thank you INFINITY!
Finally, have you guys watched Once Upon a Time? I am SO loving it! If you want a great T.V. series to watch, go watch them! They're great! That doesn't have anything to do with reading, but I'm not much of a reader, so this is my form of entertainment and it's been my stress outlet during college. It's just too amazing.
That's all for now. Again, thanks SO MUCH for reading! I hope you enjoyed!
-Kelly
