(M/N) COULD FEEL a soft breeze gently grazing his skin, while the warmth of the shining sun filled him with calmness, it almost made him think of this moment as peaceful... At least if it were not for a certain blond guy who was screaming like a literal maniac somewhere in the background-
(M/n) could notice something approaching the stunned Tanjiro next to him.
With a gentle smile, he stretched out his right hand. It was a sparrow named Chuntaro, Zenitsu's kasugai 'crow', who now landed on his palm. His feathers were so fluffy and looked round in his palm! oh how adorable he was!
"Hello there little friend, you seem quite at a loss." (M/n) spoke softly as the bird made frantic chirping noises, while flapping with his wings -- gesturing to the scene in the background, as the lady tried to push the crying Zenitsu off of her.
"I'm begging you! There's no one else! You're all that i have!"
"Okay... I see,, Gotcha! We'll do something about it!" Tanjiro nodded, understanding the bird's story which (M/n) understood as well.
"Don't worry", He carefully scratched the sparrow's head, "We'll make sure to put some sense in his mind."
Chuntaro's eyes started to sparkle out of relief and admiration for the two slayers as a glowing aura emitted from him. Finally, some people were listening to him!
As (M/n) placed the sparrow on his other shoulder, while Kotori eyed the new companion with friendly curiosity. Tanjiro walked up to the scene.
Zenitsu was still on his knees and pleading, while the girl he was clinging onto tried her best to push him away, "Please i'm asking again! Marry me! I'm beg you!-"
Suddenly, the boy was pulled away by the back collar of his triangle-patterned haori, which made a surprised noise escape his mouth.
"Why are you making such a scene in the middle of the road?! That lady clearly isn't interested in you! And, also don't go making trouble for your sparrow!" Tanjiro yelled at the blond he was holding by the back of the haori with a rather irked expression.
(M/n) on the other hand, approached the girl and asked if she was alright, "Yes, now I'm better, thanks you two.", she responded with a little annoyance in her tone, while dusting her clothes off.
"... That- that uniform! You're the guy from final selection!", Zenitsu exclaimed, "There's no way I'd know anyone like you! I don't know you! Never once in my life i've ever met you!", Tanjiro immediately talked back, angered but also baffled.
