Chapter One

OUT AND ABOUT IN THE FRENCH QUARTER

Early morning, a few months has passed. Ordinary people wanders around, enjoying themselves with food and entertainment.

A gust of golden dust swirls up from the ground in an alleyway, and Christy slowly  walks out of the alleyway.

Christy slowly walks further away from the alleyway and makes her way to the Jackson Square.

Upon sensing her father, Ames, she slowly walks away from the Jackson Square and atop of a rooftop.

Ames is looking at the buildings as Christy slowly walks up beside him.

"Dad." Christy greeted her father.

Ames looks at his daughter and small smiles. "Hi, Christiana."

Ames and Christy shares a hug and exchange small smiles at each other.

"How are you?" Ames asked her.

"I'm good. How are you, Dad?" Christy asked him.

"Pretty well myself." Ames replied, gently leaning on the rooftop's edge.

"But something worries you." Christy said, becoming worried herself.

Ames and Christy exchange worried looks at each other.

"You and I both know that Marcalos has become vengeful." Ames said.

"Marcalos is the Elder God of the Underworld, he's always wicked vengeful." Christy said.

"It's Marcalos's daughter, Thalia." Ames said. "She may be up to something."

"Yeah. I know. She has a mountain monastery. It's her hideout." Christy said.

Another golden dust swirls up from the building's rooftop. And Maximus slowly walks up to Ames and Christy.

"Ames? Christy?" Maximus greeted them both.

"Maximus? You and Gia have gotten closer to each other." Ames said with a small smile.

Maximus small smiles to himself upon the mention of Gia. "Yeah. She and I have gotten closer to each other. But you guys were talking about Thalia."

Ames slowly walks away, and Maximus and Christy slowly walks after him. "Thalia is not to be trusted. She may be the headmistress of her own League Warrior combatants. Marcalos and Lorena has trained her very well with both a sword and a bow and arrow. She's menacing and mischievous."

"Just like her mother and father." Christy said. "I'll keep an eye on my family and best friends. I haven't seen them in a few months."

"Thalia has stealthy spies in the French Quarter. And she will also use leverage to get what she wants." Ames said.
