My eyes opened slowly only for me to realize that the sun isn't even up yet; my room is still dark and dull as ever.
I sat up and blinked a few times to clear my morning vision, after about three times I looked around the room, I looked over to the digital clock by my bedside table. The clock read: "4:29 AM" A bit early for my taste. I still have almost two hours to sleep in.. I thought to myself as I rubbed my eyes

tired.. very tired.

I sat there for a few seconds before yawning and slowly sliding out of my bed. Standing up, I walked to my bedroom door, I opened the door then carefully and quietly made my way to the bathroom.

Moving my feet swiftly as to not wake anyone up, I don't think my siblings nor my father would appreciate that seeing how early it is.
I held my breath as I passed my fathers bedroom, he hates being woken before the sun rises. Well, I tried to pass it.. I stepped on a creaky spot in the floor.

Uh oh...

I stood there for a few seconds after the creak, hoping if I didn't move he would stay asleep. I was dead wrong. After standing there for about 10 seconds I thought I was clear and took another step which made a small creaking noise. I cringed a bit at the sound, I didn't like it one bit. Then I heard footsteps. "Shit.."

The bedroom door swung open to reveal a tall, messy haired man. He was just standing in the doorway, looking tired and angry. "What the fuck are you doing at..." he checked his watch "Four o'clock in the fucking morning!" The taller man growled. "I- Uhm..-" I was worried, his dark, cold stare is terrifying.. "I don't want to hear your dumb excuses, William." He raised his hand and slapped me across the face, leaving a very noticeable red mark on my cheek. My eyes widened "I-I'm sorry, father. It won't happen again.." I said as I turned away from him and began walking down the hall. "It better not." Williams father said rather harshly as he walked back into his room and closed the door behind him.

I placed my hand on my cheek as I walked away, i should be used to this by now, he's been doing it my whole life. But the sudden touch is still shocking, even to someone who feels the same stinging feeling every day.

I walked down the hall and into the bathroom then shut the door behind me. I flipped the light switch which illuminated the bathroom. I turned and stared at myself in the mirror, looking at the red mark still on my cheek. I stared for at least 15 seconds before blinking a few times and turning away from the mirror. Sigh... I'm not falling asleep anytime soon, "I might as well get ready for school in a few hours." I said to myself quietly as I opened the bathroom door and walked back to my room.

Very quietly walking into my room I the door behind me, then, I walked to the closet and grabbed my clothes, a pair of black ripped jeans, a dark grey and white striped shirt with short sleeves that was just barely too big, and a pair of black socks.

I then walked back to the bathroom. "I have enough time to shower, right?" I asked myself. "Yeah, I think so"

After his shower

I was in for around 10 minutes, just bathing in the warm water. It's so soothing to feel the burning heat wash across my face. I always feel a bit upset when the time comes where I have to get out. I began to dry myself off then dress up. After that I wiped a small portion of the mirror with my hand so I could see myself a bit better rather than trying to make out the blurred objects in a fogged up mirror. I looked at myself again, trying to brush my wet hair out of my face. It tends to fall in my eyes when it's wet then it's difficult to brush away so I can see properly. I pulled my towel over my head and began drying my hair then I pulled the towel off, my hair now very messy, but a bit less wet. I threw the towel to the side then pushed my hair back. I opened the bathroom door then shut off the light and walked to my bedroom once again.

I entered the room and walked to my bedside table then grabbed my phone. I turned it on and looked at the screen
No new messages
Just another thing to make me feel as lonely as ever.
I turned my phone off and put it in my pocket then went left my room and walked downstairs to the kitchen.
4:55

"Just a little longer.." I said with a sigh. Today is going to be a very long day.

An hour had passed as I just sat on the kitchen floor, scrolling through social media, looking at the pictures of all the perfect people. The ones we all aspire to be. Oh well..
I checked the time on my phone
5:50
"Ten minutes" I said quietly. "I should probably leave now so I'm not late. It's not like he'll drive me to school anyways" I got up from my position on the floor and shut off my phone, sliding it into my pocket once again. I made my way to the front door then grabbed my shoes and put them on. I then walked out of the house, carefully shutting the door behind me.

I started on my way to the school, the air was cold and fresh. Mornings like these are the ones I enjoy. I hate summer, the warm weather gets on my every last nerve.

I walked for a few minutes until I could see the school ahead of me.
I was walking slowly and quietly, just minding my own business, looking down at the ground. then I heard something, a pair of footsteps running up behind me. That sound was short lived when someone crashed right into me, making me fall to the ground. I hit my head on the pavement and everything went black...
