I walked back to my house after hanging out with Henry.

That was probably the most fun I have ever had.
I thought to myself.

I don't really get out much on weekends because my father is mostly home in the afternoon, but today, he had another one of his bratty girlfriends to meet up with. She's probably going to figure out his real personality and dump him like most of the others.

When I finally got to the backyard I climbed up to my window then immediately ran to my bedroom door and checked it. "Thank God, it's still locked" I let out a loud sigh of relief then slowly sunk down and sat against the door.

I sat there for a minute before standing up again and walking over to my small bed then laying down on it. I stared at the ceiling for what felt like hours, just thinking, thinking about.... Henry? Why Henry? Well, there's a perfectly good explanation for thinking about him. He's my best friend, my only friend. But, I wasn't thinking of him like a friend. In my thoughts, I was making up fantasies, dreams, scenarios. Thoughts about staring into his eyes, holding his hand, kissing his lips...

FUCK, SNAP OUT OF IT!!

I sat up quickly, looking around my room, why do I always get so jumpy when I'm deep in thought like that?

Then I realized that I didn't jump up for no reason, someone was walking around downstairs then I heard the front door close and a woman's voice? I thought maybe it was just my father and his girlfriend since it's just us two who live in the house. But, that voice. It seemed.. familiar.. in a way.

I got up and slowly walked over to my bedroom door and put my ear up to it, I listened for a few minutes, then, my eyes widened. I- I know that voice... that's!-

I didn't even get to finish my thought, I heard loud footsteps coming up the stairs. I know those footsteps anywhere, I've memorized them since I was little. I ran over to my bed and jumped onto it then pretended I was asleep. I could hear the door start unlocking then a voice. The one voice I truly dread listening to. My fathers.

"William! Wake your lazy ass up and dress presentably! We have company." He then walked out of the room and slammed the door behind him. I waited until I could hear his footsteps fade then I got up and walked over to the closet. I looked for something presentable then got dressed. I went to the bathroom and brushed through my hair so it wasn't messy then I slowly walked down the stairs.

"It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance" I said as I entered the living room where my father and the guest were seated.

"No need to be so formal, Liam!"
I stared at the girl for a few seconds with a confused expression, "Pardon?" I was not used to being called 'Liam'. It was one of my old nicknames.

"I said, 'No need to be so formal'" she repeated. I stared at her a bit longer, why did she look so familiar?

"What's the matter, baby bro?" She asked. Then it hit me.

"Azalea!" Azalea stood up and held out her arms then I ran as fast as I could and hugged her. "Oh my god! I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too, Liam.." she said as she hugged me back. We hugged for a minute before finally separating and sitting down on the couch next to each other. Azalea put her arm around me and we chatted for a few minutes, kinda ignoring my dad. He seemed annoyed but never said anything about it which made me so happy. I was finally able to hold a casual conversation with someone in front of him and he didn't yell at me.

He got up to use the restroom a few minutes later and Azalea turned to me with a serious expression. "So.. Is he still giving you a hard time.?"
I hesitated for a second then nodded slowly. "..And it's only getting worse after you and Mikah left..."
