It had been a day since Tori could breath on her own. Stefan stood near the doorway observing his brother. Damon was sitting next to Tori, looking at the picture of his daughter. It was the day she was born, he was holding her as she yawned. Damon wiped his tears when he felt his brother's presence.

"When I first met Tori she reminded me of you," Stefan told his brother "she helped me save Elena so many times. Did you know she saved your life when Lexi's boyfriend tried to kill you, she kept putting out the match when he tried to burn you," Stefan told Damon

"Really? I thought the wind was in love with me that day," Damon chuckled as he looked at the picture

"Is that her?" Stefan asked as he sat next to his brother, Damon handed him the picture "yeah. It was the scariest and happiest moment of my existence," Damon said as he smiled

"When she was born there was a storm, one of the worst storms ever but, the second she came into this world, it cleared away," Damon told his brother

"What else do you remember about her when she was a baby?" Stefan asked his brother, this was the first time Damon spoke to him without any sarcastic remark. "She was tiny," Damon smiled he thought back to when Tori was born, "I was so scared of my strength, the months before she was born I practiced how to hold a baby with V's help. Tori would never sleep at night, always wanted to play, she would stare at the ceiling for hours, used to scare me all the time. She had me wrapped around her finger from the second she was born," Damon continued.

Damon laughed when he told Stefan about the first time Tori got a vaccination "I remember, that was the first time I cried in a long time, seeing her in pain, I almost killed everyone in the hospital," he said as Stefan smiled at him. "Today, when the doctor called time of death, I thought it was over, I couldn't live with myself knowing that Tori was not in the world, I was willing to burn the world down if it meant getting her back," Damon told Stefan.

"Hey, my mom and Dad are going to be here in an hour. The leads that they have on Tori's attacker are bogus," Caroline told the brothers.

"Oh my God! Is that Tori?" Caroline squealed as she grabbed the picture from Damon's hand. "She was adorable! Wait is that Victoria? In the background? She looks so pretty and hot. No offense to Elena but what the hell did you see in Katherine? Tori's biological mom is H-O-T!" Caroline ranted

"Blondie, this is a hospital, people are trying to sleep peacefully," Damon told the blonde vampire, who rolled her eyes, before handing him the picture which he tucked in his wallet.

Jenna sat in her bed eating her jelly cup "Hey!" Ric greeted his girlfriend before kissing her "So the doctor's wants to keep you for another day or two just for observation," Ric told Jenna

"Great!" Jenna told Ric sarcastically

"Any news on Tori?" Jenna asked worried about the girl who was like her little sister.

"Uh, she is breathing on her own but she hasn't woken up yet," Ric told Jenna

"Who would attack a 16 year old girl? This town has become so unsafe with random attacks and animal attacks," Jenna told Ric who pursed his lip as Jenna ranted

"Hey, where's Elena and Jeremy?" Jenna asked Ric

"They are at the house, they said they would stop by in sometime," Ric told Jenna

"You okay?" Jenna asked Ric, who looked upset

"Yeah, No, it's just the image of Tori. I can't get it out of my mind. She looked dead. It's weird you know to see her so fragile, she usually is so strong and... now, the image of her so fragile is haunting," Ric told Jenna
