"How the hell am I supposed to confess my love to Brett?!" Reagan asked while she was repeatedly pacing around her lab. "Reagan, I am an AI-powered robot who has never experienced what love is. I don't understand why your asking me." Alphabeta says as he's watching Reagan, she stopped pacing and looked at him. "I'm not asking you, I'm asking in general! Besides, I already know you can't experience what love feels like." Alphabeta shrugged, "Maybe I did once with your mother." He said quietly, Reagan looked at him with pure disgust. "What the fuck did you just say?" She walked over to him, "Uhh, just forget what I said." Reagan shook her head. "What, no! You made love to my mom?!" "It's too much of a long story for you to understand." Alphabeta tells her, Reagan slapped her face "My fucking God," and looked at the time. 8:28 PM it read, "Brett is going to be here soon and I have no idea what the hell to say!" She picked up a gun that was on her desk, "Maybe if I shoot something, I'll know what to say." Alphabeta looked at the gun, "That's-" He then got cut off. "Hi, Reagan!" A voice came out of nowhere and scared the shit out of Reagan, she screamed and pointed the gun at the person's neck. It was Brett, "Empty.." Alphabeta finished. "Holy shit, Brett!" She took the gun away from his neck, "Heh, hey Reagan." Reagan put the gun down, "Jesus Christ, don't scare me like that, even if the gun was empty." Reagan looked at Alphabeta, "Can you get out Alphabeta? I wanna talk with Brett, alone." Alphabeta smirked. "Fine then, I can't wait to see if you fail at this, but good luck I guess." Reagan watched him as he went out of her lab, "Yeah, luck." She said quietly. Brett looked down at Reagan, "So, uh, Reagan. You wanted me to meet you here, what's up?" He asked her, "Right, well I wanted to tell you something." Reagan stopped making eye contact with him as her cheeks turned pink in embarrassment. "Oh, okay! Are you okay though? Your cheeks are turning a bright pink." If Brett was named the most oblivious man ever, he wouldn't even know what that means. Reagan quickly answered, "I'm fine! Don't worry about me. I just need to say something that has been a weight on my shoulders since April." Brett shrugged, "Yeah, that doesn't surprise me, you do tend to lock up your feelings in a tiny box." Reagan looked at him with annoyed face, but she knew what he was saying was true. Brett smiled at her nervously, "Heh, well aren't you going to tell me?" Reagan only just stared at him, she didnt know what to say. How could she know? What she'll say could ruin the first friendship she's had since that one kid with the glasses. Reagan remained calm and closed her eyes, "I..." She started, but she immediately didn't know what she was going to say next after I. Brett just stood there waiting patiently for Reagan to spit out what she was going to tell him. She finally said what she wanted to say for so long after about five minutes of silence, "I've fallen in love with you Brett!" She said out loud, "And that's... Um, yeah that's what I wanted to say." Reagan looked down in complete embarrassment, her whole face was as red as a tomato. Brett wasn't shocked or anything, he was looking down at Reagan with a smile. "That's what you wanted to say?" He chuckled, Reagan looked back up at him. "It's not as easy for me as it might be for you." Brett shook his head, " Well not really, I was always the one to confess and then I'd be rejected." He said smiling. Reagan was confused, "Wait, does this mean I'm getting rejected?" Brett suddenly panicked and shook his head no. "That's definitely not true Reagan, I'm just saying that your the first person who's ever confessed their love to me." Reagan sighed in relief, but did this mean Brett felt the same way toward her? "Wait, does that mean.." Reagan said, but her voice trailed off as Brett nodded his head. "Yeah! I've been in love with you since the beginning of this year, I guess I was too oblivious to see that you also loved me." He said scratching the back of his head, "Uh, yeah, same here." They had a moment of silence before Brett asked, "Can I kiss you Reagan?" Reagan looked up at him with rosy cheeks. "Um, sure." Brett was contemplating his decision, how would he kiss Reagan with their height difference? "So, uhh, how does this work with our height difference?" He asked, Reagan groaned in annoyance, she grabbed his tie, pulling him down to her height and kissing him. The kiss lasted about 15 seconds, they both let go and all Brett said was, "Woah." Reagan wasn't sure why he said that, "You're a good kisser Reagan!" She was surprised by the compliment she got and thanked him awkwardly. Brett stopped leaning over and remembered something he always did when he was in a relationship. "Oh, right! I almost forgot that I did something every time I got a girlfriend or boyfriend. Which is still rare for me." He said randomly, Reagan looked at him baffled. "You're into men?" She asked, he nodded. "Yep! I always give a nickname to a partner of mine." Reagan wondered hers would be, and she was hoping it wasn't something corny or dorky. "And what's mine? Have you made one for me?" And Brett once again nodded, "I'm going to be calling you Ray-Ray from now on!" He said in confidence. Reagan didn't think it was super corny, so she agreed for him to call her that. They both walked over to one of the walls and sat next to each other against it, they didn't say anything to one another for a while and they didn't need to. After a while, Reagan's head suddenly dropped on Brett's shoulder, and the first time she actually fell asleep was being with Brett. He moved closer to her so her head wouldn't hit the floor on accident. Brett sat in the dark in Reagan's lab, while she was finally sleeping normally. But after a few more minutes of just silence, Reagan opened up her eyes after her nap. "Ugh, what the hell?" She looked to Brett, who was just staring at her. "Did I fall asleep on the job?" She questioned in irritation, "Yeah, but it was nice seeing you get actual sleep instead you staying up all night building something." He said smiling at her. "I guess I can agree on that." She said as she got off of him and turned her head away, something in the back of her mind was bothering her. Brett noticed it and asked, "Ray-Ray?.. You okay?" She turned back to him. "Not exactly, I always struggle to keep my relationships stable, and I'm worried I'll fuck up this one too. Like I did with Steadler." Brett giggled a bit, "Ray-Ray, it's not like were going to erase our memories together and live new lives, I think we have a nice life in Cognito Inc." Reagan knew that already, "Yeah, but what about how we are? What if one of us fucks up and we never pursue this relationship?!" Brett saw that she was freaking way too much about this relationship thing and took her hand into his. "Ray-Ray, just because of what you saw in that room about you and Steadler in the future does not mean that our relationship will be the same. If our friendship has been working out for us this far, then our relationship will be even better." Reagan's cheeks flared up again, she never thought Brett would say anything that she just heard to her. "I promise you Ray-Ray, I'll treat you right." Reagan finally let her hand intertwine with Brett's hand. "Thank you Brett, I have a feeling this might work out now." Reagan slightly smiled in relief, she than heard something come out of Brett's mouth that nobody tells her. "I love you Ray-Ray." It felt as if a shock wave went through her body and she was processing what she was just told. She wanted to say the same thing back to him, but she has never really told anyone it before, besides once to Steadler, but that's it. "I..." She paused for a moment and finally said it back. "I love you too, Brett."
