@iLoveRouge wanted a part 2, so here you go :D
It was the next day after Brett and Reagan's fight in the rain about his jealousy. Brett woke up in his bed exhausted, he also had a headache, which made him feel even worse. He didn't even want to get out of bed, but he really didn't wanna miss work. That would make Reagan more upset with him then she probably already is. Brett opened his eyes slowly, and felt his wet pillow. He remembered that he cried till he fell asleep, I'm such a mess, he thought to himself. And when he got up to look at himself in the mirror, he looked like a mess too. He had eye bags from crying so much, his hair was everywhere, and his clothes dried from the rain which made them look wrinkly. Brett tiredly groaned, "Ugh... I fucked up everything with Reagan." Brett said, pinching the bridge of his nose, disappointment in himself. He decided to just ignore how he felt and should get to work already, he went to his closet to put a new suit on and threw his other suit in his laundry basket. After he was done changing, he looked at his face in the mirror. How was he going to make himself look like less of a wreck with his eye bags? He knew, foundation! He grabbed some, and put it under his eyes. "There! Now I look less fucked up." He slightly smiled through his pain. Next he had to fix his hair, which looked like a nest. He used some of his gel to fix it up and he was ready for work, but definitely not ready to see Reagan. "Good luck suffering from ruining your friendship me!" He said to himself in the mirror and walked out of his room. When he got in the living room, he saw that it was still raining. "Oh great.." He said sarcastically and grabbed his umbrella. He opened it up as he went outside and closed it when he got in the car. He took a deep breath in and out, his heart was beating fast and he just wanted to not go to work. He didn't want to see Reagan at all, he also didn't want her to see him and it would just be completely awkward for the both of them. He still couldn't believe he confessed to her, what a stupid decision that was. She probably hates him now. But he just went to work anyway because he could see the rest of the team and maybe, just maybe, feel a little better. He needed a distraction from Reagan.
When he got to Cognito Inc, he looked out his window and saw the spot where him and Reagan fought and his mind created an image of the both of them hurting each other with words. He shook his head in reminiscing of Reagan, "Damn it! Ugh... I have to get her out of my head, this is making me crazy.." He said with tears in his eyes. He grabbed his umbrella again and opened the car door with his heartbeat fastening up. He took another deep breath before opening the door, and then finally walked inside. He cleaned off his wet shoes on the carpet and walked over to the scanner. He scanned his eyes, and the elevator approved of his presence that he works there and he got in the elevator. He was hoping to not see Reagan first, and if he did, he'd just run off to ignore her. That was unless she wanted to talk with him, but Brett highly doubted that. When he got to the floor, he was a little hesitant of walking out of the elevator, but he did so, he needed to be brave and work today no matter if Reagan gets into his mind. Brett walked through the hallway, looking all around to see any signs of Reagan, but nothing. He sighed in relief and went to his own office to work a little bit, he was going to make sure no one bothered him, so he could finally stop stressing about what happened yesterday. He got to his office and opened the door, locking it behind him. He sat down at his desk and looked at his work... but that's all he could do. His hand didn't move to write anything and his eyes were just staring directly into the paper. Reagan was really sticking like glue to his head, and this made him feel like bashing his head into his desk. Which he kinda did, he slammed his face into his desk, "Ughhhh..." He groaned, he couldn't take it anymore. If Reagan wouldn't get out of his mind, he might as well use a mind erasing gun to forget about her completely. He got up from his desk and decided to ask anyone where Reagan was. He walked out of his office and saw Gigi in the hallway, "Gigi!" Brett says getting her attention. "Oh, good morning, hun. Do you need anything?" She asks and Brett walks over to her. "Gigi, do you have any idea where Reagan could be?" He said in a worried voice. "Hmm.. She didn't come into work today, hunny. Sorry, she may just be taking the day off work at home. No sign of her here." Gigi said, and Brett felt even worse, he guessed that Reagan didn't wanna see him either. "Oh.." Was all that Brett could say, "Don't worry honey, she'll probably come back tomorrow." Gigi said trying to reassure him. He thought about it and decided he just needed to talk with Reagan and sort everything out, he was not about to lose her just because of a fight. "Actually, I'm gonna take the day off too. I'm sure she wouldn't mind, she is the CEO." Brett said, Gigi shrugged "I guess, but who's gonna cover for you?" She asked, "Umm.. can you? I promise to make it up to you, I just really need to talk with Reagan." He told her and Gigi smiled. "Sure, hun." Brett thanked her and left, going outside again. Brett mumbled to himself, "God, I really hope she's okay.. I never wanted to hurt her..." Brett got into the driver's seat and drove off to Reagan's place.
With Reagan, she was laying on the couch, and she felt like absolute shit. She thought how Brett just left her standing in the rain, alone. "Why did he do that? Why does he like me? He doesn't deserve me.. I fought with him, and he probably hates me now. That's all I ever fucking do is make people hate me." She said to herself, her heart was hurting itself and so was she. Reagan then heard a knock on her door, she sat up, wondering who in the world could possibly know that she took a day off of work. Reagan got up from the couch and put her hand on the doorknob, slowly opening the door to see.. "Brett?! What the hell- How?-" She asked backing up a bit, "Reagan! Are you okay?.." Brett asked worried, "What?.. Yeah, I'm okay." She responded, she wasn't okay whatsoever and Brett noticed. "Please don't lie to me Reagan, can I come in?" He asked, and Reagan let him inside. Her place was even more trashy than before, he looked around and saw some tissues on the table. He made her cry, she probably hates him too. "Reagan.." Brett said, and she looked back up at him. "What do you need to talk about, Brett?" Her face looked horrible, her eye bags were deeper than ever. "What we obviously need to talk about, yesterday! I ruined everything, Reagan. Our friendship, how we see each other, everything!" His voice slightly got louder, he felt terrible about what he did yesterday. "What?! Brett you didn't do anything wrong, you were just jealous, I understand that! Please don't blame yourself, you were right, I should get over Staedtler." Reagan looked away from Brett, she couldn't make eye contact with him. "Reagan, I was wrong for saying that to you. You can miss whoever you want, my jealously only got the better of me." Brett said, but Reagan still looked away staying quiet. "I'm sorry for leaving you out in the rain..." Brett apologized and Reagan looked back up at him, "And I'm sorry for yelling at you.." Reagan finally said, and Brett took his hand out to Reagan. "Best friends?" He said and Reagan took his hand. "Yeah.. but, I thought you were in love with me?.." Reagan asked and Brett blushed slightly in embarrassment. "Oh, right.. I forgot I told you that.." Reagan giggled a bit, "Heh, well, I think it's kinda sweet that you feel that way.." Reagan, still holding Brett's hand, led him to the couch and they both sat down. Brett was a little confused on why she did this, but then Reagan suddenly hugged him. "R-Reagan? What are you doing?..." Brett asked and Reagan mumbled, "Just let me do this, Brett.." Brett shrugged and hugged Reagan back, but neither of them let go. So they cuddled <3
