I woke up to a bright sun shine and a cool breeze. Last I remember was the red haired girl shooting me in the shoulder. Though now as I look around, I am definitely not in a game, though I don't know what is worse. My wound seems to be carefully bandaged as if someone hard helped me. As I look around I notice I am tied in a chair. A man with a very revealing outfit is in front of me, lots of people surround him but one catches my eye. Chishiya is standing there a neutral look in his face as if this was a normal occurrence. What's happening?
"Ah, I have heard so much about Akari Tachi," the man with long hair, glasses and a colourful dressing gown said walking towards me, "your cards here are impressive."
I showed no reaction.
I looked toward his hand to see him holding out all the cards I have worked hard to earn. "So it seems that you have brought not one but three heart cards, I also heard from others you could be useful."
"Useful how?"
"To The Beach of course, oh, I'm Hatter by the way," he said giddy, "upon you joining there are only 3 rules."
"Always wear a swimsuit. All cards are handed in after a game other then that you can drink, party have sex." Hatter said dragging out his words, "Oh and death to all traitors." He shrugged after the last sentence.
"What if I didn't want to join?" I questioned.
"Oh, you'll be killed," he said as if it was obvious.
"Ok..."
"Well his your number, it's higher since you provided good cards," he smiled placing a bracelet on my wrist reading 56.
I guess I've joined then," I shrugged still very confused.
"That's fantastic!" Hatter squealed, "you," he pointed to a man across the room, "take her to get a swimsuit."
A man with glasses suddenly appeared in front of me before he grabbed my arm with a harsh grip, trying to tug me along. I smacked his hand away immediately and he whined in pain before looking at me with a glare.
Finally he brought me inside a room that had lots of clothes, though all were skimpy and wouldn't allow me to feel comfortable. Even still I found some gym shorts that were tight and fitting around my thighs, I also found a matching crop top. Still I grabbed a light cardigan to cover my scarred back from the public.
I'm not feeling confident about this whole situation, though it is better than being dead. I want my cards back though. I wonder how many people live in the beach? Why did Hatter seem to want my cards so badly? Is Kuina still here?
I walked out the room where I found the man had been waiting. He handed me a key to a room and left, this place seemed to be some sort of hotel with the amount of rooms in here.
Room 406
This is it. I walked inside to find it was quite pleasant it had a large bed in the centre of the room and an ensuite in the room as well. It was not what I expected it to be at all. I sat on my bed, maybe I could relax.
No.
I need to see what this place is like.I walked out the door to go down into the hotel foyer it seemed normal, people in revealing swimsuits walked past me. I never can understand how people feel comfortable just showing their body like that. I used to show my body off but I was never comfortable just used to it.
I continued to walk into an outside area. On the dance floor, sweaty, drunken adults coiled tightly together jumping to the base of the music. On one side, a teen pours beer down throats on the other Two half-naked girls wrestle in a pool of beer. People grind in the pool basically fucking each other in public in time to the taunting music.
I turn away in disgust, spotting three familiar faces. Arisu, Usagi and Kuina. I walked over to them taking a seat.
"Akari!" Kuina exclaimed before wrapping me in a tight hug. I don't particularly like physical contact but she was nice to me in the elevator game.
"Hi," I responded with a slight smile.
"Chishiya told me you were here!" She said placing a cigarette between her lips and leaning back.
"Yeah, I woke up a couple of minuets ago," I responded in explanation.
Kuina then turned to Arisu and Usagi who smiled at me in recognition.
"Nice to see you again," Usagi said with a smile.
"You too know each other? That great!" She said with a little to much enthusiasm, I seemed to be the only one to pick up on this. She was clearly up to something.
"Yeah, we played a game together," Usagi responded.
"Who's that?" Arisu suddenly interrupted us pointing towards a group of men that had walked into the pool area. I turned towards them and immediate recognition passed through me. The men from the zoo game, they were wearing similar clothing and were still carrying their weapons.
I had zoned out, only hearing the last thing Kuina said about them. "Their the militants in the beach, you don't want to get in their bad side," she said.
"Ahh," someone says their hot breath wafting over my neck, "it's you princess."
I turn to face the voice already knowing who it was. He was dressed in a black flannel shirt and jeans, his signature gun strapped around his shoulder. Niragi.
"You know him," Arisu whispers not so conspicuously next to me.
"Unfortunately," I replied looking at Arisu.
"What do you want?" Kuina said from next to me.
"Boss wants him," he said gesturing over to Aguni. Who stood with a solemn look on his face. Aguni must be Niragis leader I quickly realised.
"What for?" I said standing in front of Niragi with a hard glare.
"Princess, that's no way to talk to someone with a gun and a higher number then you," he smirked evilly.
I grabbed onto his wrist and a smirk grew on his face, lust filling his eyes. Instead I twisted his arm, immediately his machine gun fell to the floor as he hollered in pain. He then kicked me repeatedly, ignoring him I picked up his gun and pointed it between his arms.
"You shouldn't act like that to somebody who has gun pointed at you, should you Niragi," I said with a fake pout. "Now stop, harassing me or my friends or I will shoot you between the eyes."
"Fine," he grumbled.
"Maybe it's good for Aguni to remember who saved his life, isn't that right," I said now turning to him.
Aguni had not time to respond as Hatter walked out after hearing this mess. I simply handed Niragi back his gun before leaving out the way I came. Maybe agreeing to stay here was a bad idea. This place is filled with crazy people. Also one thing was still stuck in my mind, who brought me here?
Chishiya watched as Akari walked away from the chaos that had been created a small smirk curled on his lips. She could be useful. Her bravery was clear when she stood up to the militants like that. Though after the hearts game he could tell how fragile she was on the inside.
