In the Beginning Part-1/The lonely Hierophant

July 18th, 1971

"Can I hold her"? :A man with teary eyes asked his wife.

His wife smiled at him, handing him an infant girl wrapped in a white towel.
He picks her up gently. Her small, pristine face is the size of his fist. She could only hold one of his fingers in her hand. He cried even more.

She was so fragile.....

Man: " What do you think we should name her"?
Woman: "Well....I was thinking about Noriko".

The man looked at his daughter. It seemed like a small smile had appeared on her tiny doll-like face.
He said: " Noriko Kakyoin.....Sounds wonderful'.

August 9th, 1976
Kakyoin's dad: "How is she doing"?
Kakyoin's mom: " Her fever is still the same. The doctor said that if it doesn't go down soon we'll have to admit her to the hospital".

She couldn't contain her tears anymore. Her head slumps over her husbands chest.

Kakyoin's mom: "What is happening to my baby"?
Kakyoin's dad: " Do-Don't cry dear. Don't cry".
He picks her head up by her chin. He looks at her with loving and prideful eyes.
He says: "She's not weak. Nori is our daughter after all ".

Inside her room five year old Noriko was suffering from high fever. She tossing and turning on her bed, sweating profusely. Her face is becoming as red as her curly cherry colored hair.

Kakyoin: " Mom......Dad......"

She could only utter these two words. Poor girl.
She can't talk. Can't even breathe. Can't even open her eyes.

With the remaining amount of strength she has left, little Noriko opens her eyes. She is met by a dark foreboding room. She can make out some of the things in her room. Like her desk, cupboard, school bag and.......what....what is that?

Kakyoin: "M.....Mmmmoom"?

It was not her mother. It looked like.......like it was.....flo.....FLOATING?!

Kakyoin: " MO-
She starts coughing uncontrollably. It felt like she was going to suffocate. But then she felt a little push on her back. Noriko realised that thimg or ghost or whatever that was, is patting her on the back. Soon enough her coughing fit stops. She looks at it again.
The....ghost looked like a little kid doing a cosplay.
It's skin was bright, almost sparkling green. It had a small metallic mask on It's face and It's eyes were yellow colored and oval in shape. Kakyoin rubbed her eyes. Nope it was still there.
She finally opened her mouth.
Kakyoin: "Who are you"?
The green ghost looked at her with curiosity.
Somehow knowing the little girl was scared, it tried to calm her down. The ghost put its hands together. Suddenly a green wave of liquid appeared which then morphed and turned into small uncut gems.

Kakyoin: " Woah! What is that"?!

She picks one up and observes it. She is marveled by the green gem which resembles an emerald.

Kakyoin: "It looks so pretty! Is it for me"?

The ghost nods excitedly.

Kakyoin: " Thank you so much! I have to show this to mom"!
The young girl springs up from her bed and bursts out of her room.

Kakyoin's mom : "Wha- NORI"?!
Kakyoin's dad : " Nori are you alright"?!
Kakyoin: "Yeah! Look at this"?
Her parents checked her temperature only to find
that it is completely back to normal.

Kakyoin's dad : " H-How did it....It's gone! The fever is completely gone"!

The two hugged their daughter tightly, relieved that she is now safe.
