"Just shut up Jamie!" You yelled as your brother Trevor just sat there letting the two of you argue. Ever since you met Jamie after Trevor's first game with the Ducks there was always something that seemed to cause a problem. Trevor was always very overprotective of you, his teammates were off-limits after he had caught you flirting during his team USA days. You went to every practice to watch Spencer and Trevor had even caught Spencer sneaking out a few times to meet up with you, he was furious when he caught you with one of his teammates behind his back. He put his policy in place so he knew he could trust you. He was constantly worried now that you were spending so much more time with him in Anaheim, but there was one player he did not have to worry about, Jamie.
"I'm just being honest Y/N," you rolled your eyes as he shouted back.
"I wish I didn't have to see you all the time ugh," you groaned.
"Ditto," he answered.
"Can you two try to get along?" your brother scolded both of you. You and Jamie both glared at each other with arms crossed then looked back at Trevor. It's not like you didn't want to get along with him, you did want to get along with Jamie he just made it impossible. Jamie would always find a way to disagree with you or make you mad. When you first met Jamie you thought he was kind of cute, actually really cute, from his hair to his eyes he was exactly your type, but you clearly weren't his. There was always some dumb thing that would come out of his mouth to make you angry. There was no way he could like you after how mean you two were to each other.
"No," you and Jamie said in unison.
"There you two finally agree on something," Trevor said with a sigh of frustration. You both rolled your eyes.
"The only thing we will ever agree on is not getting along," Jamie said, as he walked towards the door.
"Bye," you shot another glare his way as he walked out. Once he had left you felt kind of bad. You knew how much you not getting along with your brother's best friend upset Trevor. Trevor sighed and went straight to his room, you heard the door slam behind him. You walked over to the door and knocked,
"Go away Y/N," he yelled.
"Trev, please let me talk," you begged. He hadn't shared how he was feeling about you and Jamie in front of the two of you until today, you felt horrible seeing your brother this upset. You opened the door to see him lying on his bed staring at the ceiling with no emotion on his face. You laid next to him on the bed, he refused to look at you.
"Look Trev, I'm sorry I know how much this bothers you, I'm trying my be-" he cut you off.
"Is screaming at him your way of trying," he said with a hostile tone.
"I- I'm sorry Trev, really I am, I promise I will do better, it's just hard with how he is I guess..." Trevor turned to look at you,
"I know it's not just your fault sis, but you understand me better, I can't stand seeing my two favorite people not get along," he sighed. You smiled and sat up, so did Trevor, you hugged your brother.
"I'll be right back Trevor, like really quick, I have to do something." You went rushing out of your apartment down the hall to Jamie's and pounded your fist against the door.
"Who is it?" Jamie shouted.
"It's me," you called back.
"Me who?" he asked.
"Y/N Zegras, just let me in dummy," you immediately regretted saying that after the promise you had just made to your brother. Jamie opened the door wearing shorts and a shirt running a hand through his slightly wet hair. You tried to hide your blushing face, but the way he was looking at you made it impossible.
