Chapter 8

"Cut!!" the director yelled at both Freen and Becky. "What's wrong with you, girl? Why are you not willing to cooperate? Is there anything wrong between each other? Tell me! You are acting like you are two hedgehogs. Take a break and please sort this up!" The director told them.
It was the half of the first filming day and the girls acted strange to each other. There was zero chemistry between them, and this upset everyone around them. Hailee dragged Freen to have a private conversation. Meanwhile, Zendaya, Becky's friend also took Becky to discuss what is happening.
"Listen here, Jonas! Can you stop acting weird, here? You are so immature. Just because Demi told you to stay away from Becky, it doesn't mean you really have to! Look around! Is there a Demi Lovato here? 'Cuz last time I checked she was not here. You are older, and you should be wiser than Becky. Go talk to her!" Hailee scolded Freen, who was now looking sadly at Becky.
"But... I don't want to betray my mother once again, Hailee..." Freen pleaded, making her friend facepalm.
"Are you an idiot, Freen? First of all, smoking behind your mom's back, accepting the offer to play in this movie, do they count as a betrayal? Look how many people are waiting here, just for you to have a perfect damn scene! You are both making as wait." Hailee angrily said to Freen, who was now biting on her lips furiously.
Without even thinking, Freen went to Becky and interrupted her conversation with her friend, and forcefully dragged her aside.
"What are you doing? Freen, let go of my hand! It hurts!" Becky yelled at Freen
"Listen here, Princess! If you think that I will treat you like you are a queen, then don't!! Stop acting like you want me to flatter you, spoiled girl! Grow up! All the stuff is waiting for us to have a nice shooting and you are acting like a spoiled brut." Freen snapped, making Becky push her away, tearing up.
"You are the one with no experience, here! And here I was thinking we could be friends! I hate you Freen Sarocha Jonas!" Becky yelled at Freen, turning her back and going to her friend. 
Everyone heard the yelling and they were shocked to see the tension between the leading actresses. Hailee was so pissed off on her friend right now. The director announced a two hours break so they could all calm down, so Hailee was trying to find a way to save her friend. She knew that Freen was somewhere crying and somewhere, and she needs to find a way not to kill her and not to bother her at the same time.
"Oh, Jonas! Oh! They will soon replace if you continue like that. What's gotten into you?" Hailee tried to understand Freen.
"Hailee, please leave me alone! I really need that.." Freen said.
"I'm not leaving until you tell me what is going on!" Hailee insisted.
"I told you to go away!!" Freen said, smashing a glass of water into the ground, making tens of cracks exploding, crying "I am a failure. I'm not good at anything: I'm a bad daughter, a bad niece, a bad granddaughter, a bad friend, a bad actress..." she was bursting harder into tears, breaking her friend's heart.
"Oh, Freenie!" Hailee ran to her friend and hugged her tightly. "Listen. You are the best. Putting a lot of pressure on your self will never help, trust me! You are my best friend. "Best" meaning I could have anyone in this area to be my friend, yet you are the supreme one, so I choose you! You are the best person I have ever known! At the age of 3 you knew how to write your name, you received a prize in computer science for kindergarten kids. You always were a nerd and had the best grades. Your family never paid for tutoring you. Despite being a rich kid, you entered in Law School at the UCLA with scholarship, and you always had a scholarship. You are in the top best students in your program. My friend, I always wanted to be you! I believe in you so much. If I didn't believe in you, I would not have pushed you to join this movie." Hailee hugged Freen tightly and kissed her cheek.
"Thank you!" Freen said between sobbing.
"Now! What you did to Becky was wrong! You really need to stop letting your anger out at everyone! She's younger than you! Please, go and ask her to forgive you! Let's work and stop being so childish." Hailee said in a calm tone.
"No... I am not going. I already made her hate me..." Freen stated, making Hailee facepalm. She knew her friend was like this. This means that she is the one who needs to reconcile Freen and Becky.
With the excuse of going to drink some water, she left Freen alone, and she went to discuss everything with Becky. Becky needs to understand her friend, and the reasons between her anger issues. Hailee found Becky next to Zendaya and Cole, Becky's friends. She knew them from other projects.
"Sorry! I am Hailee! Freen's best friend!" Hailee extended her hand to Becky.
"Mhm.. I am Becky! We met the other day, right?" Becky said faking a smile.
"Yes.. Please, may I have small talk to you? I swear that it will be quick! Sorry, guys!" Hailee said sympathetically.
"Oh.. I don't know... judging by the way you friend was treating me..." Becky said.
"I know I am sorry!" Hailee apologies.
"Ok, fine! Let's go!" Becky said, following Hailee into a private space.
"Listen, Becky! Freen might be a Grinch, but I swear to you she is the sweetest Grinch you ever met." Hailee started the conversation, making Becky uncomfortable.
"I don't think I..." Becky started.
"Look! She went through a lot. She grew up without her dad. Her mom was mostly absent. Her aunt who took care of her died a few months ago in her arms! She.." Hailee counted every single fact about her friend.
"Wait what? Her aunt has died in her arms?" Becky covered her mouth with her hands in shock.
"Yes... please don't tell her I told you this. She will definitely kill me. She hid this stuff from everyone. Why do you think she is wearing black? She's grieving. Also, her family didn't agree with her being an actress. My Freen is the sweetest Elsa, I promise. She regrets what she told you. She is a perfectionist, and I personally think she has a little bit of OCD. That's why she is putting a lot of pressure on herself." Hailee said.
"Well.. Why are you telling me this?" Becky asked.
"Because, Ms Freen is a softie. She won't come to you to say sorry, unless she knows you don't hate her, as you said. My point is: you are a good person. Please, go and try to talk to her. If you don't do that for her, do it for the entire team. You really need to sort this out." Hailee begged Becky.
"Ugh! Fine!" Becky agreed, and went directly to Freen, who was now smoking.
"Mhm.. Hello!" Becky said, making Freen jump.
"Go, away, Princess! You yelling at me right now is the only thing I wanted." Freen said.
"Yeah.. Well.. I think we both overreacted out there. So you are a smoker..." Becky said with a soft tone.
"Yeah.. if it's bothering you, I could throw it away." Freen said, feeling guilty.
"Mhm.. I am not a fan of cigarettes.. But don't throw it away... So I came here in peace. Let's just start over and stop being angry with each other, please!" Becky said to Freen, and took her under surprise.
"Wow, Princess! I never expected that. But fine.." Freen nervously ran her fingers though her long dark hair.
"Ok! Hi, I am Becky Swift." She extended her hand to Freen, and this made her let out a small chuckle.
"We are seriously doing this childish thing? Ok.. I am Freen Jonas! Nice to meet you!" Freen said.
"Ok.. Wanna grab a coke together?" Becky joked, and that made Freen laugh.
"Only if you bring to glasses and we will share a bottle." Freen laughed.
"Fine.. Freen, do you wanna be my friend?"Becky said blushing.
"Yeah, why not?" Freen nodded blushing.
"Great! But the way! Let's read the script together, maybe we can help each other. And maybe we could meet sometime and practice. This is how I usually do with my colleagues." Becky smiled happily.
"Yeah. Let me finish this and we are going to read the script." Freen smiled.
They were both finally happy that they can cooperate, and be friends. There was still a little bit of awkwardness between them, but they will manage to pass through it. Freen and Becky went to read the script, and there was a successful result. They shocked everyone to see how well they behaved.
For the next couple of weeks, they kept getting to know each other and they felt great to see how many things they had in common. Freen paid a lot of attention on Becky's preferences and interests, and vice-versa. None of them told their parents about their friendship. The scenes went incredible, and everyone was teasing them how good they were together and how natural was everything. Honestly, the girls both wanted to be friends and close to each other since day one. They felt there is this "quelque chose", that made them want to have each other closer. That's why, Freen didn't snap at Becky when she asked to be her friend, and Becky wanted to ask Freen to be her friend. Hailee only helped them have this.
