Daniella's POV:
I keep having these unsettling dreams about a man in a suit and the moonstone. It's all a jumble, too loud or too chaotic to make sense of.
Salvatore Boarding House
Caroline sits on the couch, visibly shaken. I offer her a glass of blood, hoping to calm her nerves.
"Here," I say gently.
She accepts it gratefully, taking a sip before speaking up.
"I'm still shaking," Caroline admits, her voice trembling.
Stefan arrives, concern etched on his face as he takes in Caroline's state.
"What happened?" he asks, turning to me expectantly.
"Go ahead, tell him. You're gonna love this," I urge Caroline, eager to share the news.
Caroline takes a deep breath before recounting her encounter.
Mystic Grill
Caroline's flashback begins as she sets the scene at the Mystic Grill. She's there, ostensibly to see Matt, but her true intentions lie elsewhere.
"Do you need a table?" Matt asks, his voice tinged with curiosity.
"No, I'm not staying. I just needed to use the little girls' room," Caroline replies, her tone casual.
I urge Caroline to get to the point, eager to hear what happened next.
As Caroline finds herself alone in the bathroom, she begins washing her hands when Katherine suddenly appears, posing as Elena.
"Elena?" Caroline questions, her surprise evident.
"Hey, I saw you with Matt, are you okay?" Katherine asks, her demeanor unsettling.
Caroline tries to brush past her, but Katherine's grip tightens, preventing her escape.
"You're good. What gave me away? Was it the hair? Or was it my clothes?" Katherine taunts, her tone dripping with malice.
Caroline cuts to the chase, refusing to be intimidated.
"I know Elena is...I know Elena's at home," Caroline asserts, her voice firm.
Katherine wastes no time delivering her ominous message.
"I need you to deliver a message," Katherine insists, her gaze piercing.
Caroline relays Katherine's threat, her voice tinged with apprehension.
"Tell Daniella and Stefan that I want the moonstone or I will rip this town apart until it rains blood," Caroline repeats, the gravity of the situation sinking in.
I press for more details, eager to understand the full extent of Katherine's plan.
"Tell me the rest of it," I demand, my voice steady despite the rising sense of unease.
Katherine's response is chilling in its simplicity.
"Tonight, at the masquerade ball," she declares, her words hanging in the air like a dark omen.
As Caroline finishes her account, a sense of foreboding settles over us. Katherine's threat looms large, casting a shadow over our already precarious situation.
Daniella's POV:
The weight of Katherine's threat hangs heavy in the air as we gather in the Salvatore Boarding House, dissecting Caroline's unsettling encounter.
