I walked into Eric's basement and received a "hey" from everyone, including stupid Hyde who sat in his stupid chair.
I shut the door but didn't sit down.
"Hey? That's all I fucking get Hyde?" I snapped at him making everyone look at me
"What are you going on about?" He asked me
"What am I going on about?" I laughed, "I just waited for you for an hour at the bar! Remember? Where we were supposed to meet.... An hour ago!!"
There was a split second where he looked like he was truly sorry, before it quickly disappeared, "Jeez, sorry I forgot. Don't need to come in here yelling" he said going back to watching the tv
I laughed again throwing my head back, "you really are a piece of work aren't you? You are to full of yourself to apologize? It's funny because any other time you act like you give a shit about me and maybe even like me, but now sitting there in front of everyone you just don't care? I was worried about you!!"
Everyone turned to him, heads moving like they are watching tennis.
He stood up, anger on his face, "That's because I don't care! I didn't ditch you, I didn't wanna come." He pointed at me, "And for the record, I don't like you. It's called being nice. I guess you aren't used to that are you? You're used to guys treating you like shit"
I was fuming. If I wasn't in a room full of witnesses, he'd be a dead man, "Go to hell, Hyde"
"So, Steven, did you want to go to Mr. Foreman's barbecue with me then?" Jackie piped up like it was her time to shine
"No, as a matter of fact, I don't want to go anywhere with you" He told her still filled with anger as we continued to glare at each other
"No, that's okay! You know what, we can stay in." She replied walking over to him
He stepped away, "No, Jackie! Look, I told you again and again I have no interest in you and you don't have a chance. And yet, you keep thinking that I have interest in you and you have a chance."
So Jackie has been trying to go out with him. Priceless. Surprised he wasn't out with her while I was waiting for him.
"Wait! Did you just say that you're interested in me and that I have a chance?!" Jesus Christ Jackie
Hyde turns, face to face with her, "OK, you know what, you forced me to do this. I'm gonna explain my feelings to you through a highly disciplined form of Japanese poetry: Haiku. My heart aches with pain." He paused and she smiled, "When I see you I vomit. Die away from me."
Jackie frowned and Hyde turned to walk towards his room but paused when I spoke up, "Jackie, it's really not a huge loss. He'll just lead you on, ditch you and then explain how much he pity's you in front of your friends!"
"But I'm popular, people are always nice to me!" She exclaimed towards Hyde
With that, I headed for the door as I heard the slam of Hyde's bedroom door behind me.

As much as I didn't want too, I still went to Mr. Formans barbecue. I didn't want to even breathe the same air as Hyde at the moment. I just don't get it. One second he cares so much about me, the next he treats me like a fucking stone to boot.
I was sat on a chair on the deck beside Donna, with a nice view of Hyde who stood across the driveway. Perfect spot to give dirty looks at him when he turns this way.
I turned when Jackie came walking up the driveway with a guy, "Hey everybody. This is Chip." they put their arms around each other "He's been after me for awhile now so I decided 'what the hell?' Chip, it's everybody."
