" Grandma! "
A petite short h/c girl shouted running to her grandma

" Hm? Yes darling what do you need? "

" Can you tell me more about magic? "
The h/c smiled widely

Her grandma sighed and then said
" If that is what you want, Everyone has magic but not everyone knows how to control it."
" The ones who know how to control it would usually use it for their well-being or become a magician. "

" Like Grandpa!"

" Yes yes, Like your grandpa. "
" Your grandpa used to work for a great magician back then, Then he met me. "
"On my side, I was a nanny for a prince. That prince is now the king of obelia "

Her grandma murmured the last part

The h/c girl was fascinated and interested
Her grandma continued her story and spent the rest of the afternoon together

Y/n 5 yrs old.
A happy cheerful child who loved magic and was always with her grandma.

A happy girl indeed.
But then that night happened.

"Y/n wake up. "
A faint voice said which made y/n awake.

She blinked a few times then realized the voice came from her grandma

" Grandma..? What are you doing up this late? "
Little y/n asked

" Y/n, We have to go. "

" But I'm still sleepy Grandma.."

" Y/n it's not time to be lazy let's go. "
Her grandma took her hand and went outside where she saw her whole family

All of them suddenly started running to the forest like something was chasing them.
Y/n was so confused, She didn't know anything was going on.

Everyone kept running.
Until y/n's mom fell to the ground

It startled them and y/n went to her mom to check on her.

" Mama..? "

Her mom pushed her lightly.

" Go. Mom, Dad. TAKE Y/N AND GO! "
Her mom shouted which made y/n startled

Her grandma took Y/n's hand and kept running.
She tried to go back to her mother but before she could even a sound of glass being shattered was made and she passed out.

" Mom..? "
A faint voice of y/n said and she slowly got up and looked around her.
Her body froze.
Her family was on the ground all passed out, some were bleeding.

A cough was heard by y/n and she saw it came from her grandma

" Gramma! Are you okay? Gramma what's happening..? "
She said stuttering each word while tears escaped her eyes.

Her grandma took something from her pocket and placed it on Y/n's hand.
It was a small glass bottle that had purple liquid in it.

" Take it. Put it in your eyes and keep doing it, never show your real eyes to anyone. "
Her grandma said as y/n put some in her eyes, it stung she closed her eyes trying to lessen the pain.

" Be brave my dear. Be like your mother...Go meet the emperor..."
Her grandma said and she lost breath

Y/n couldn't believe any was this was real.

Then a floating figure appeared behind her grandma and spoke.

" You. "
Y/n looked at the figure and she couldn't see it properly.
Her eyes were blurry because she was still crying, She felt uneasy with the figure, she had a strange feeling that the figure was dangerous.

" You were with these people but you are not one of them? "
The figure said

Y/n was confused
' I am a part of my family? '

" You're probably just some kid they took in. You're lucky. These people's mana is rare."
The figure said scaring y/n

The figure looked down at her and disappeared.

She took hours alone processing everything that was happening.
Who wouldn't? A small kid witnessing such a scene was enough trauma for her.

She took the glass her grandma gave her and ran away from the forest, she kept running and running, not knowing where she was heading she just kept running.

She was soon taken to an orphanage, She refused to say anything about what happened or even her name.

She took a glance at herself in the mirror and realized her eyes weren't the same as before.
It was purple, not amethyst.

After a few weeks, she has gotten used to the orphanage
But of course, she was treated differently.

Many kids made fun of her for years because of her H/C and purple eyes.
She hated this treatment and had enough.

She pushed one of the kids making fun of her, pointed at her, and said-
" It's not fair that you treat people differently because of their eyes! "

She shouted at the kid then they both heard a bark behind her.

There was a white puppy.
