Immediately I got home, I felt a wave of panic , anger, sadness and despair. I knew immediately those weren't mine. I rushed in only to find my wife at the throne room hysterically screaming orders at the guards. "I don't care! FIND HIM! That is if you like your heads attached to your bodies." Some of the guards scrambled out while the higher ranked warriors remained for questioning. Her grey eyes landed on my green ones and before I knew it she was in my arms sobbing uncontrollably.

I turned to my mate worry and regret written all over her face. "It's not your fault, we'll find him," " And if we don't? I'll never forgive myself," her voice broke at the end. Before I could say something she turned and walked away. I wanted nothing more than to run after her and comfort her, to run my hands soothingly up and down her back occasionally kissing her temples while she fiddles with her fingers like they're the most interesting thing but right now she didn't need a mate , she needed a king. "I'm coming too," came susans velvety voice. I turned only to find her armed to the tooth with all sorts of knives and her personal favorite,a crossbow.
"You know that's not gonna happen," " I said I'm coming,if anything happened to my son and he needs me, I WILL be there." She growled, challenging me to refuse her. "Sue c'mon," "Kayden, you are messing with a wolf who lost her pup , I will go through you if I have to ," I had to admit I didn't hate this side of her considering how uncomfortably tight it made my pants. "Fine, but you stay close to me," she just nodded and walked out the door. We didn't even take off our clothes as we shifted and ran towards the southeast boarder. I honestly thought she couldn't keep up with me being an alpha and all but she kept up with me no sweat, it may be the stress but she may have been faster than me. Damn she was right I was messing with a wolf who lost her pup. We stopped running when we saw Kane. We each went behind a tree and shifted into clothes that we're hidden behind the trees.
