Life is a shipwreck, but we must not forget to sing in the life boats

Voltaire

I woke up to a sharp ringing in my ears . With all my effort, I slowly opened my eyes and all I saw was darkness, before I started to panic, the darkness turned to a blur of a shadowy figure. My eyes readjusted and I came face to face with Susan looking at me with sympathy. I hated it when people looked at me like that. I was a tri-breed for fucks sake. One of the most powerful creatures alive yet some how I always end up attracting everyone's pity like vultures to a carcass.
"Hi," I forced a smile as I tried to get up.
" No no," she said gently pushing me back to bed."save your strength."
I just nodded and turned to look out the window, I was in my room. The memories of last night came flooding back to my brain giving me a headache.
He knew! Kayden knew. Would he summon my father to come and take me back? I knew traveling through pack territory would be risky, but I was growing too weak and heavy to fight off rouges. It didn't matter any way by the time he would call them I would have already left. That's how we survived, by never staying at one place for too long. If we did he would find us and I couldn't let that happen. I owe it to her, to everyone.
" Need anything?" Susan asked sweetly. I smiled sweetly at her and shook my head. She then proceeded to leave when I let out a shaky sigh," I'll tell you what happened," her eyes seemed to light up with hope and she swiftly took a seat, " but I should warn you it's a long story.

It's a short chapter, I know but more will be revealed soon . Don't forget to vote and comment 💞💞💕
