It has been about 2 months, and Rani is still very very sick. Kion started losing himself. He couldn't see Rani and that teared him apart.
"Why can't I see Rani! I miss her!" Kion cried. "I do too Kion," Sahasi sighed.
Ananda was trying her best to help Rani. Ananda felt Rani's stomach for the cubs. They wouldn't get Rani's disease though, which was a good thing.
The only bad news is, Rani was nearly ready to give birth, but showed no signs of any strength in her body.
Right then, a blood curtling scream came from Rani. The cubs were coming.
"Rani, you are very weak, so listen to me carefully, and don't panic. Everything will be fine.
All Rani did was cough.
Ananda helped Rani push, and take some of her pain. After a while, Rani gave birth to two beautiful cubs, one male, one female.
There was a downside though, they couldn't nurse from Rani. If they did, then they showed get sick.
Rani said she wanted them to be Raja and Sawa. That was the last of her strength she had. Rani's head fell back down.
Raja and Sawa started crying. They need to nurse, or they would die.
Ananda ran out to find a lioness who recently had cubs. She found Dalia. (Dalia means, "Gentle")
"Dalia, I need you to nurse Rani's cubs, they could die," Ananda asked. Dalia agreed.
Ananda took Raja and Sawa out of the den. Dalia coukd get sick if she went in. Ananda placed them by Dalia's stomach, and they started nursing.
"Thank you so much Dalia," Ananda thanked. "Of course," Dalia smiled.
Ananda ran to get Kion.
"Kion!" Ananda shouted. He was crying by a tree. He looked up, "Can I see Rani?"
"No, but you can see your cubs," Ananda replied. Kion jumped up, "Show them to me!"
Ananda ran, nad Kion followed. Kion walked closer to Dalia. Kion turned to Ananda, "What are their names?"
"Raja and Sawa," Anansda replied. Kion took the sleeping cubs from Dalia, and out them in his arms.
"They aren't sick?" Kion asked. Ananda shook her head and headed back to Rani.
Kion nuzzled with his cubs.
