(DECEMBER 13)

The audience kept clapping after their hard work.

Every segment and major piece they played throughout went smoothly much to everyone in the orchestra's relief. Whistles and cheers erupted and ensue inside the hall and Raine's heart had never beaten this fast in ever.

Bonesborough is a city of big deals and to see strangers and citizens of it, looking at them with proud smiles and faces was enough courage and thrill they needed this evening.

Raine never felt this good in a long time.

And to get recognized by Bonesborough's people is the top thing that made them feel they've reached the peak of their passion. They see Darius, standing up and applauding after the segment all impressed and nodding toward them.

A chuckle escapes their lips as they wave their hand in an 'oh it's nothing.' mannerly way.

But it isn't just nothing.

It was everything.

They received over three ovations and the audience never stopped clapping ever since. Their conductor, Scooter Crane does one more bow towards everyone and steps to the side to represent the whole orchestra team with the most genuine smile planted on his face.

Raine and the others hold hands, giving one step forward for adjustment, and proceed to bow next. More clapping ensues and they swear the euphoria of the moment would've lasted forever if it weren't for the smiles on everyone's faces.

We did it, Raine's expressions say. Their colleagues nod and agree.

Soon enough, someone passes the microphone to them at ease and every one of their peers urges the audience to applaud one more time when Raine wraps their fingers along the base of the device. Feeling agitated once more, Raine was a tad prepared ever since Steve informed them beforehand.

The order of the words and sentences will play out smoothly just as they mentally practiced and their thoughts reassure them that everything will go well like it just did.

Okay.

Raine steps forward, waving timidly, and watches everyone's clapping slowly fade and return to their seats. Once the room started to go silent, it was their moment to start their cue by inhaling rather deeply enough to keep themself intact.

Relax and just...talk.

No stutters, alright?

Alright.

"I'd like to appreciate our concertmaster and conductor for pulling out our performance smoothly as always, to my colleagues who were with me on the first chair as much as to those in the second, to everyone I played and was involved with for this evening, I humbly thank you all for being able to pull through for this...momentous event."
