(DECEMBER 16)

Raine paces around their room, one hand over their head while talking to Darius. They shift their feet on the floor, fidgeting their index finger by tapping repeatedly on the back of their phone while listening for what's to be discussed.

Thoughts run in the back of their head so much that they can't just stand in one place, knowing such expectations are about to either be met or lowered. Raine hears their friend's voice and finally speaks on what seemed to be minutes when they constantly hear the clicks of him typing on a keyboard.

"She's a waitress in a bar named Bonesborough's Booze. In short, BB's." Darius now mentions the obvious, for some reason making it sound like a dilemma.

"Yes." Raine clarifies simply, nodding to themself. Last night's events were short yet already easily memorized.

Orange. Red. Yellow. The first colors they saw flash before their eyes only to yet again realize Raine could see past more than that.

"And you haven't seen her again yet? Like face to face?" he asks one more time, bringing a frown to Raine's lips.

They haven't. But they're hoping to with the current lead.

"I haven't. I just talked to her boss and it got me there. And I swear it's her. It's got to be. The hair, the face, those eyes..." they go on and on placing a hand on their chest while emphasizing their honesty and pure intention. "Of all the crazy stuff and scams on the internet, at most parts, it could never lie to me now that I know her name. She has accounts on these platforms and it has to be confirmed. Right..?"

Raine's unsureness and confidence not being able to co-exist is the reason why they had to call and fill in Darius to ease whatever state of panic and phase they're in. Is this a successful phase where they'll make their first step or is the world still making them dream?

They look at their watch, glistening yellow-metal colored around their wrist, and check the time. And Raine ends up scratching their head for noticing how they got up too early in the morning thanks to opportunities they're keeping an eye out to not block their chances.

"Edayn Clawthorne," he repeats the full name for the process. "My sources...or well, my one colleague knew her."

Raine's face lit up, relieved that after all their efforts the unforeseen takes its time to get them somewhere. It could be in an hour later or a minute closer, either way for once they have a proper lead.

The corners of their lips had to lift themselves upward.

"...That's great! And?"

"Apparently...Goddammit." they hear their friend let out a heavy sigh and a smack, most likely him facepalming on whatever context that Darius is about to offer.
