Sup peoples, this is a story I've been writing for a long while but I'm not fantastic at it. Any tips would help a lot as I really want to make this something great. As you can might be able to tell, this is very heavily inspired by Danganronpa which is an amazing game.
Reader Warning though, this story will include topics like depression, anxiety, trauma, suicide and other mental struggles. But apart from all that, I hope you enjoy and feel free to leave a comment on how I can improve.
See you soon, HiveMind :)

Here I am, stood in front of the gates to it all, ready to join them as the ultimate-
Darkness. Complete and total. I was trapped, I couldn't move. I struggled but it didn't do much. My breathing got heavier and I began to panic.
"Josh. Calm." I muttered. There were walls completely surrounding me, they stopped me from moving my arms. I couldn't move even if they weren't there, I felt numb, I had no energy. I continued to struggle and then I noticed the wall in front of me move. It wasn't even a wall, it was a door of some sort. I stopped, breathed, gathered my energy and lunged forward and the door flung open.
"Oh my god. My little boy has done it." My mum said with her arms wrapped around me.
"Mum, stop, give it a rest, will you? Its not that much of a big deal." I said pushing her away. I lied though. This was a big deal, a very big deal. Being in this school will have me set for life, I've been wanting this for so long and it's finally happened. This has finally me given a purpose, after years of feeling like a waste of oxygen. I finally have a purpose.
"What are you talking about? Of course its a big deal, my little ultimate #####" She said, still fighting to wrap her arms around me. "You're gonna do wonders for the world, I just know it." She gave me a smile, and I gave in and just let her hug me.
"Thanks mum."
I found myself on the floor, my head was pounding. I felt weak, I could barely move. I looked up to see a few lockers towering over me, one of them with the door wide open. Was I in a locker? I thought to myself.
I lay there for a few minutes before finally having the energy to stand up. I felt wobbly but I always do. I took a second to actually look where I was.
"Where the fuck am I?" It looked like a classroom but it was really run down, like it hadn't been used for decades. Moss was growing from cracks in the tiles and walls, and everywhere just seemed like it was falling apart.
Suddenly, one of the other lockers starting shaking, I leapt back, almost falling over in the process. I kept my eyes fixed on the locker, and cautiously started walking towards it. I reached for the handle and the locker door flung open, almost hitting me in the face, and I jumped back again.
"Uuuuurgh, what the fuck?" A guy lay on the floor in a similar state to how I was.
"Um.... Hi?" As soon as he saw me he jumped up, startled.
"Who are you? What have you done? Where am I?" He said, his voice full of panic, his breathing fast.
"Woah, woah, woah. Chill out, I don't know what's going on either." I said trying to calm him down a bit. "Try and calm down a bit. Take deep breaths." I put my hand on his shoulder, he was shaking and his breathing was out of control. "Breathe in, 1,2,3. Breathe out" I said, taking deep breaths to get him to mimic me.
Eventually, our breathing was in sync and he was calm, or at least somewhat.
"You good now?" I said, taking my hand off his shoulder.
"Yeah, cheers." He said loosening up a bit. "Was I in a locker?" His gaze on the row of lockers, eyebrow raised.
"Seems like it, I was too." I walked up to the only other locker and opened it up, expecting to find someone else. But nothing. Just general school supplies. "Weird, how the fuck did we even get in there?" He shrugged and began to pace around the room. "Haven't actually asked yet. What's your name?"
"Oh I'm Ben Green, the Ultimate Pilot. You?" He asked, picking up a fallen desk.
"Josh Patten, the Ultimate-" I stopped, this is weird. Surely knowledge like this should spring to mind immediately, but I couldn't remember it at all.
"The ultimate what?" Ben asked, with a hint of concern.
"I-I can't remember." I said, starting to panic a bit. Everything still felt like it was spinning and I still couldn't stand properly.
"Don't worry about it. It'll come to you. Your head must be killing, I bet it's having a hard time recalling information." Ben said, pretending to be relaxed about this entire situation. We looked around more and found a door. I'm guessing this is the exit.
"Let's head off, this classroom has nothing else to offer."
We both opened the door to be greeted with a hallway in a similar state to how the classroom was. It stunk too, like something was rotting. I felt small here, the hallways were huge and covered in moss. This place hasn't been touched for years. We looked down the hallway and then back at each other.
"Right," I sighed, "Let's go find out where we are."
