"We're gonna be late!" I said to my friend Tori as we rushed to first period. I was relieved as we walked through the door and the bell still hadn't rang. I was talking and walking when I ran into someone causing both our books to fall to the ground.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" I said as I scrambled for my books. I looked up and saw a pair if beautiful blue eyes.
"Don't worry about it." The boy said with a perfect smile. Oh god I though. The rest of his face was just as beautiful as his eyes and for a moment I couldn't look away.
"Are you new here? I don't remember seeing you at Gibbons last year." I said inquisitively. He helped me up as he replied.
"Yeah. I just moved here from Daytona. The name's Jace. Jace Smith."
"I'm Andora." I said. He thought for a moment and I noticed how tall he was.
"Your mom's name isn't Guisella it?"
"Ummm yeah... How did you know that?"
He smiled again.
"I'm your new neighbor. Your mom told me about you while you were away."
Just then the bell rang. I went to sit next to Tori and Jace sat behind me. After Mr. Littefield explained what we were going to be doing throughout the semester he let us talk the rest of the period. I turned to talk to Tori but she was already talking to her boyfriend Carson. So I turned to Jace instead.
"So what's your schedule?" I asked. He looked up and passed me a sheet of paper with his schedule printed on it.
"Looks like we have third, lunch, sixth, and seventh together."
"Maybe it's a sign." He said as he ran his fingers through his curly black hair. I felt my checks turn red as I smiled and hoped he didn't notice.
"Maybe it is." Just then the bell rang.
As Tori, Carson and I walked to our next class she mentioned Jace. I smiled as I though of his big blue eyes. God why was I such a sucker for blue eyes?
"He's really cute." She said. Carson who she was holding hands with her shook his head.
"Relax boo. You're much cuter!" she said to him laughing. I looked at them as he kissed her cheek. They were perfect for each other.
Tori has been one of my best friends since freshman year. She's never had good luck with guys and she never had good self-esteem even though she was beautiful. With her hazel green eyes and her brown blonde hair. When she finally met Carson that's when everything changed. He made her feel beautiful and when she was with him she was always happy.
I was relieved walking to seventh period. The day was almost over and soon I would be able to go home and sleep. I walked into my anatomy class and saw Jace. We've sat next to each other in all our classes so I figured I wasn't going to change that now. Right as I was about to sit down I heard a voice that made my skin crawl.
"Um excuse me but I was going to sit there." It was Gianna. One of the pretty rich girls in our grade.
"But you didn't so you can go sit somewhere else now." I said with an attitude. I hate how she thought that she ruled the school.
"How about we let Jacey pick who sits next to him." She said with a sly smile. Jacey...? We both looked at him.
"Sorry Gianna but I'm gonna have to go with Andora." He smiled at me and winked. I looked at Gianna and smiled.
"Sorry hun but you heard the boy." I waved as she walked away angrily. Jace and I exchanged a look at starting laughing. This was gonna be a good year.
