I watched as both my kids left the house again. Jack's 25 with a little family of his own and Elizabeth is 20 with her family. Rose and I don't do much. We see Deb and Lou on occasion but for the most part we're at home. We still do everything together. We watched our son and daughter walk away with their kids then went inside. I layed down on the couch with Rose in my arms.
"I love you" I smile down at her
"I love you to the moon and back" she smiles back
"You are the best wife I could ask for"
She looks up at me and raises her eyebrow.
"You are my favorite person in the world, I would never be able to live without you, you are my person, my soulmate. I was lost before you and now I'm happiest with you in my arms"
She nuzzled into me body and we just sat there content with our lives.
