*CAITLIN'S POV:

"Lie down!"

"No, I'm a grown man!"

"You're not even nineteen years old yet. Lie back down before you hurt yourself!"

"Cait, I've been healing for a week and my birthday is tomorrow! I will be nineteen!"

"Eddie, I don't care! Let me get the stuff and clean it for you."

"What are you two bickering about in here?" Susan asked, poking her head through Eddie's bedroom door.

"I'm kindly trying to clean Eddie's wound for him." I answered.

Eddie playfully rolled his eyes before he came back with a, "My legs work."

Eddie took my side. "Just let the poor girl get you your aid kit."

"Ha! I win! Now sit." I chirped, heading to his bathroom to fetch the kit. Eddie never had to end up going to the hospital because MeMe did such a fine job with cleaning it. What a freaking miracle that was. He still has to clean it three times a day, but there's no problem. Soon his stitches will be able to come out.

"You know we have to go downstairs anyway." Eddie said as I walked back into the room. "I could've gotten it myself."

"Oh, quit being a baby and let your girlfriend do something for you." I laughed. I waited for him to swallow some light pain pills before I moved on to the cleaning portion. "Take off your shirt."

"Don't have to tell me twice," he winked, removing the article of clothing in a surprisingly swift motion.

"Does it still hurt to move your arm around?" I asked, peeling away the light layer of bandages. It was healing nicely.

"It's eh. I don't really like raising my arm all the way up because it's uncomfortable but it's okay I guess." he answered.

I put some disinfectant on a cotton ball and blotted it around his wound. He didn't wince or anything so it must not bother him anymore. "He hasn't been around since."

"Cait, no," he said, grabbing my wrists.

"What?" I asked.

"I don't want to talk about that right now. I want you here with me like it's always been." he pleaded, looking up at me with mesmerizing eyes. "We'll figure it out eventually, but tonight I just want you."

"Okay," I sighed, bending down to kiss him.

When he pulled away, he asked what movies we should watch when we get downstairs. I told him that he should get to decide, considering it's his birthday-eve. Then he started arguing saying that he didn't care, and then I started retaliating sating that I also didn't care and that he should pick, but then he said that since it was his birthday-eve, he wants me to pick because it's his decision, and I told him that it didn't work like that, and then he started arguing again, so I threatened to fling myself down his flight of stairs, which made him finally agree to pick the movie.

As we headed downstairs, his parents were heading upstairs to go to bed. We situated ourselves downstairs, which involved an awesome fortress constructed of various blankets and pillows. Eddie threw on some random film that we've never heard of.

"Why did you pick this?" I asked.

"You said I could pick anything I wanted."

"Yeah, but this is a documentary about whales."

"Well I just assumed you wanted to learn more about your people."

I gasped and smacked his thigh while laughing.
