Jony and Leo stroll out the front door of Jony's shop, a tad unsure of what to do next. They had a plan, but it was closer to half a plan that could only half work, at best. "I'll head down to the station, you head to Sammy's and get lunch. Okay?" Jony explains before walking off towards the police.
Jony walks up to the glass double doors on the front of the precinct. "I could very well just get shot on sight. I don't know who's on our side, and who's not." Jony thinks to himself before walking in. Upon entering, he sees a young asian woman at the front desk. "Hello, ma'am. I'm here to report a crime." Jony says as he walks up to her and sits down in one of the chairs right in front of the circular desk.
Leo, pissed that he was sent for a menial task, rounds a corner on the sidewalk to spot the shiny front of the town's beloved Sammy's Diner. He makes a quick stop and picks up two cheeseburgers and some fries before heading back to the shop, but as he walks down sidewalks and streets, he begins to notice a presence watching him. Not some kind of person, but instead a stand. It had little yellow slits for eyes and a metallic, skeletal frame. It was incredibly tall, nearing 8 feet.
Leo pretended to not notice the stand, but instead took a wrong turn, in an attempt to throw the thing off. Leo heard its lanky footsteps clanking closer, and brought out Tuesday's Gone as soon as the figure was near. The hand of Tuesday's Gone reached out and read the thing's movement. Suddenly, the stand turned around and ran back to where it was. Leo chased, but the stand grew faster and faster with each step it took, gaining more autonomy and speed with each street it passed.
As the stand finally slowed down, and Leo ran out of breath, its user was in sight. An equally lanky blonde man wearing a dirty brown trench coat with various bandages on his face arose from what appeared to be a trace, lying down on a couch in an alley. Before the man could come to his senses, Leo picked up the nearest metal pipe and pointed it at him. "Who are you, and do you work for the Suits?" Leo demanded to know as the man rubbed his head and shot him a puzzled look. "Suits? I'm not a tailor, kid." The man says as he stands from the couch, towering over Leonard.
Leo swings the pipe at the man's knee, who lets out a shout as he falls back onto the decrepit couch. "You fucking psycho! I don't know any damn Suits, no leave me the fuck alone!" The man shouts. "Your stand was following me! And when it ran back to its user, it led me to you. So you at least know what stands are!" Leo shouts back. "Yeah I know what stands are, but I don't know any suits. I'm a detective, kid. And I've heard about some stand user attacking you and your friend, Jony. Jony just reported it to the police. He's a lot smarter than you think, cause instead of barging in and ranting about stands, he had his little gremlins running around putting random shit together. I knew from his previous files that he hung around you, and went to find you. Now let me go, and I won't arrest you for assault." The man explains. "You really gonna just tell me all that? Well fine, I guess. If you wanna know something, just come by Jony's shop." Leo admits before dropping his lead pipe and walking off.
A few hours later, Jony and Leo had already gone to bed in the back of the shop, but are awoken by a man. The room is lit up by only a single light. They are tied to chairs and both slapped in the face. "Wake up, man." The figure says. "Hello, Leo." He says as he steps into the light. It's the guy from the alley. "You, what the hell are you after?" Leo asks. "My name is Max Reiner, and this is Juno Gishuken. We both work for VPD, and after our little interaction, Leo, We know you're our guys." Max explains.
"Fuck, we're goin to jail, man. Hell did you do to this guy?" Jony asks. "No, no, no. You aren't going to jail, the opposite, in fact. We've been investigating a conspiracy that Violet is actually run by a few individuals, and we believe the chief of police, as well as the mayor of Violet, are both part of it. You mentioned a group called 'The suits', and your interaction seems to match the times of other break ins and murders, as well as the disappearance of Allister Wickley, who you two were the last fans he ever saw backstage, since that was his last show."
"So you're telling me Wickley is dead, right? Cause he told us about The Suits. He was 'The Jack', as he said. There were four others, the Ace, Joker, Club, and King. I mean the King is probably the leader, and it would make sense for the mayor to be the leader. So if we're gonna be helping with this whole charade, I gotta know, do you two got stands?" Jony asks.
"Yes. Mine is named The Romantics and allows me to scan people's minds for knowledge, but I have to put myself asleep to do it. And if the person has a lot of resolve, it can take more than a simple nap to get what I need. Now Juno, she also has one, but I suppose she's not willing to share her ability yet." Max explains as Juno walks into the light. It's the same woman from the front desk.
