Orphanage

After years of using different names I finally just stopped, my aunt funded the orphanage a hundred years ago and over time we started to get business. My aunt had inherited her husband's fortune so she used to to build my dream of a Grisha orphanage where we had more space thanks to things. 

In my office there was a lot of paperwork and behind my desk was a door that led to a bed that I slept in once I worked for so many days with no sleep that I crashed. Inside my drawer was a list of all my lovers new names as I'd tracked every one of them when he faked his death only to resurface as someone else. I still wanted everything with him and things were finally starting to go the way I wanted.

Yet we hit a problem with testers who kept trying to barge in like they owned the place and I sent them away every time or Grandma did. I didn't take them seriously at the time and we were just finally flourishing with grisha children they'd put the orphanage right out of business. Then a young girl came in my care, she was three years old..blonde. I felt such a protective nature over her that I didn't feel with the others but once her aunt had left I took a good look...this girl had been abused.

We took pictures of it for me to have on hand but then the testers came back again and I had enough as I heard Grandma talking to them and I walked over standing by her. "Are you the owner?" The tester asked as I knew Aleks's current title is General Kirigan. "Send your General to talk to me, I won't talk to anyone else and these kids are off limits to you." I said as they were going to argue but then I pulled out my necklace "I am your General's fiancé, he will come and talk with me unless you want to tell him you angered me." I said as they shut up and left. 

Days passed and I took the time to take care of the little girl, her name is Anna. She needed me as she looked at me with such wondering eyes and I could tell that something had happened. One of the older kids were healers and I had them heal her marks since we had the pictures. I just needed her to be ok and after that she followed me everywhere..until I paired her up with a fellow tidemaker named Nisa who took her under her wing as they were close to the same age. 

I smiled as I had to take care of some things but stopped when my niece and nephew Natalie and Denis came over..they were my brother's kids. "Aunt Amira, you say you have a fiancé..where is he?" Natalie asked as she was five, two years older than Anna. "He'll come..now that I've sent the message that I'd only talk with him." I siad as I walked into my office.

I worked on paperwork for awhile to keep things together as I knew that it wasn't going to take me very long to do. When there was a knock but I recognized that knock. I walked over to the door as I made sure I was presentable as I opened the door to reveal Aleks standing there. "I assume you're the one in charge. The kind lady who opened the door said this was your office." He said acting as if we didn't know each other as I kept a straight face. "I am, please come in." I said as he walked in and I closed the door locking it the moment he was in there. 

Before I could say another word when I turned around his lips were on mine as I kissed him back. He lifted me up as he sat me on my desk and we made out like we once had years ago. Everytime we met it felt like we were hooking up that a little later I was catching my breath after what happened. I looked around seeing our clothes and his kefta in my back bedroom as we laid on the bed and looked at each other with a smile. 

He pulled me close and kissed me as I kissed him back like he was going to disappear again. "You did it..you got the orphanage. Now move in with me." He said as I looked at him surprised knowing that was a bit forward. "Aleks, we're supposed to be negotiating..I mouthed off to your testers." I said as he put his hand under my chin "When they said my fiancé told them to send me. I was impressed you knew how to get my attention and here you've been for a hundred years. .but the law i-" "Not the kids Aleks, they stay until their seventeen then you can have them if they choose. I have ways to know what they are.." I said
