People would start getting their soulmates randomly, and it would start by a red string appearing on your pinky finger over night, and it would lead you to the person who was supposedly perfect for you, the string was apparently invisible to others and had the weird ability to go through things such as walls and trees, once you found the person, you had a choice to either cut the string or keep it, most people who got the string were already married so they chose to cut the string. A certain dealmaker was getting his soulmate today.
Eclipse woke up and looked at his right hand to find a long red string attached to it, "oh...it's today" he groaned in annoyance, he got up and got ready for the day.
"I got the stupid string today..." he said, going downstairs to see his brother, Lunar gasped "OH MY GOODNESS! THAT MEANS YOU FINALLY WONT BE LONELY AND I'LL HAVE A NEW FRIEND!" Lunar said excitedly, Eclipse sighed "I don't need a stupid soulmate..."
(Timeskip)
It was Eclipse's day off so he decided to go get coffee with Lunar
While he was there he realized that his string led directly into the coffee shop, "huh...strange..." he mumbled, he got in the shop and tried not to look where the string went because he honestly just didn't care. He went up to the register and ordered a regular coffee, afterwards he sat down somewhere and chatted with Lunar.
(Your POV)
"Order number sixty-one?" You said, putting the coffee down, you got gotten your soulmate string today and didn't really care about it either to be honest, a tall animatronic comes up to the counter and you assume that's who the order is for, you look at his hand and see your string attached to his?! You blush and Look up.
He seems to notice as well and you two make eye contact for a couple seconds.
He blushes an odd shade of orange and takes the coffee, he then quietly thanked you and goes to sit back down...
What an odd guy, but somehow you couldn't stop looking at him.
(Back to no one's POV:)
"What was that?!" Lunar said, enthusiastically "I-I don't know!" Eclipse said, flustered "you found your soulmate?! And she's pretty too, oh my gosh she's perfect!" He said, "quiet down Lunar! I don't want anyone to hear you..." Eclipse said, "I don't love her, she can't be my soulmate" he said in denial, "if you didn't, why didn't you cut the string, brother?" Lunar said smug, "why- you-!" Eclipse stuttered and blushed even more as Lunar just laughed.
He had a plan and got up once his order was called, "hey, Y/N!" He said looking at your name tag, "yes? What can I help you with?" You ask him with a smile "My brother really wants your number, but is too shy to ask for it" Lunar said with a giggle.
He was your soulmate....so you thought it couldn't hurt giving him your number, "okay then" you say, you grab a slip of paper and write your number on it, you then fold it and hand it to him.
Lunar skips back to the table, "Brother~! Look what I gooot~!" And he shows the phone number to Eclipse "Y/N's phone number!"
"Wha- How?!" Eclipse said "I have my ways" Lunar said cheekily, "I hate how clever you sometimes you know?" Eclipse said with a small huff.
