THERE WERE SKY PEOPLE EVERYWHERE AND SOUNDS OF GUNSHOTS AND EXPLOSIONS IN THE DISTANCE........

Neteyam and lo'ak were both riding their ikraans. jake had put them both on lookout while he and everyone else were in the battlefield fighting with the sky people. it looked like the clan was winning. as time went on lo'ak was getting more and more bored.

"hey bro, let's go down there." lo'ak said

"what?? no way bro, dads gonna kill us, you're already on thin ice with him." neteyam replied
with an annoyed expression.

"cmon bro, don't be a wuss." lo'ak said as he flew down on his ikran. neteyam rolled his eyes and followed, not wanting his brother to get hurt.
As they both reached ground they broke tsaheylu
with their ikrans and ran towards one of the crates containing guns. lo'ak grabbed one with an excited expression on his face.

"you don't even know how to use that." neteyam stated.

"yeah i do, dad taught me" lo'ak as a matter of factly replied.

as lo'ak  was about to walk away, sky people attacked and dropped a bomb. Due to there being no lookouts, the sky people took their chance and attacked.

lo'ak fell too the ground and everything around him was on fire. He was separated from neteyam.

As lo'ak was panicking, a furious and worried jake approached him.
"lo'ak!" he shouted "are you okay?!! Where's neteyam??"
"I don't know dad, we just separated."

jake looked around and spotted Neteyam laying on the ground. he approached him and thanked eywa that he was safe, though his mood quickly changed into an angry one. as he took the boys to get their small cuts and bruises patched up, he gave them a scolding.

"I told you guys to stay on LOOKOUT. What part do you both not understand??" He then turned to Lo'ak. "you could've gotten your brother killed."

As usual, Neteyam took the blame for Lo'ak.
"no dad, it was my fault. I told him it'd be cool."

As Neteyam was saying this, Neytiri and Kiri
approached. Jake looked at Neteyam. He knew it wasn't his fault.

"lo'ak, no flying for a month. You hear me?" Jake stated.

"yes sir." Lo'ak said as he rolled his eyes.

Jake was about to say something but Neytiri beat him to it, "your sons are bleeding. kiri, go get ne'zula and help them get cleaned up."

As the children left, neytiri turned to jake. "don't you think you're a little to hard on them Ma Jake? i mean, this is a family, not a squad."
"i know, i know, but i don't know how else they'll learn." Jake replied. To this response Neytiri just let out a sigh and walked away.

meanwhile, Lo'ak and Kiri had found ne'zula. She looked at them and smiled but it quickly faded as she noticed the wounds on Lo'ak.

"what did you do this time, skxawng." She asked with a hint of worry in her voice.

"why, you worried?" Lo'ak jokingly smirked and Ne'zula rolled her eyes.

"lo'ak went down to the battlefield even though he was supposed to be on spotting duty and the sky people attacked." kiri started. "I have to go help neteyam." She looked at Ne'zula. " I'll find you later, can you help him get cleaned up?"

"sure thing" she took lo'ak's hand which caught him offguard and gave him butterflies. kiri smiled at the pair and walked away. ne'zula dragged him to her tent and picked up the first aid box. It contained a bunch of herbal medicines and bandages.

Ne'zula inspected the cuts he had all over his chest and rolled her eyes.

"How did you manage to do this, dumbass?"

"it wasn't my fault!" he exclaimed.

"mhm, and my skin is yellow." she replied sarcastically.

"huh?" Lo'ak looked confused.

"oh, I thought we were telling lies." she teased

"fine! I told neteyam it'd be fun to go down to the battlefield, and since there were no lookouts anymore the sky people attacked."

"oh yeah, you dragged him in this too." She replied.

"yeah, and now I'm banned from flying for a whole month."

ne'zula dragged him with her, again, to clean his cuts. they reached a small waterfall and she pushed lo'ak under it, causing him to get drenched. She laughed lightly and began cleaning the cuts with the water. As she was doing so, Lo'ak was staring at her. Due to her being shorter than him, he had to look down. He observed her and grinned. ne'zula felt his eyes on her and looked up.

"oh grow up" she said with a smile plastered on her face. A slight purple blush began to form on her cheeks, but Lo'ak couldn't see it as she quickly looked away.

ne'zula finished cleaning the cuts and they sat down on a rock nearby. she brought the first aid box and applied some type of paste on them. As she was doing so, lo'ak still had his eyes on her. he thought she was ethereal. her olive green orbs glowed as the sunlight hit them. they were so easy to get lost in. her perfect nose, her pink lips, and her smile, oh her smile. every time she smiled, she lit up the whole room.

"okay, all done." she said and smiled for a second. Her voice seemed to snap Lo'ak out of his daydream. He seemed to be flustered.

"oh, Uhm, yeah okay, thanks zula." He said. Zula was a nickname he had given to her when they were children.

"yeah, no problem." She replied. "do you wanna go flying lat— ohh wait, you can't." She teased and burst into a fit of laughter.

"oh yeah. That's so funny isn't it. So fucking hilarious." He said irritated, but he was still smiling. He threw the roll of bandages at her but that only made her laugh even more. Lo'ak just flipped her off.

"you're cute when you're angry." Ne'zula said while laughing. The sentence made Lo'ak blush, and he couldn't hide it very well. He rolled his eyes. As he walked away, he could still hear ne'zula's laughter, which made him smile.
