ECLIPSE ROLLED AROUND AND AFTER THAT POINT, EVERYTHING WENT BY IN A FLASH.....

arrows and bullets were being shot from almost every direction. as the adults were fighting, tuk bit the arm of the avatar that was holding her. this method seemed to work, so lo'ak and ne'zula did the same. the teens were free, so they ran until the whole family met up. everyone was there. everyone except spider.

they all reached the village, and ne'zula was still holding her arm which contained a large, still bleeding cut. she was about to turn into the direction of the hut, but was stopped by kiri.

"zula, you're bleeding." kiri said as she held ne'zula's injured arm.

"no, it's alright, i'll just go bandage this." she replied.

"zula, i'm coming with." kiri stated.

"okay." she agreed.

the walk to ne'zula's tent was quiet. as they entered, ne'zula sat down and kiri began disinfecting the cut.

"this may sting a little.." kiri said in a strained voice as she cautiously cleaned the wound. ne'zula tensed up and flinched a little, squeezing her eyes shut so that she didn't focus on the pain.

"i'm sorry about spider, kiri. i know how much he means to you." ne'zula said, opening her eyes and looking at kiri.

"i'm sure he'll be fine." kiri said coldly. it was her way of dealing with her emotions. just blocking them all out.

ne'zula looked at kiri with sympathy in her eyes, as she knew kiri was worried sick about spider. she let out a deep sigh and kiri began wrapping up the wound with bandages.

"do you want to spend the night at my tent?" ne'zula innocently asked, wanting to comfort her best friend.

"yeah, that would be nice. i'm just gonna go tell mom and dad." kiri replied, her voice slightly lighting up.

"i'll come with."

the girls walked up to to tent and heard jakes and neytiri's voices. they spotted lo'ak, neteyam, and tuk listening to their conversation, so the two girls joined in.

"i cannot, you cannot ask this." neytiri said. " i cannot leave my people. i will not." she stated.

"he's hunting us. he's targeting our fam—-" jake said but was cut off by neytiri.

"you cannot ask this! the children, everything they've ever known, the forest. this is our home! and what about ne'zula? she has no family. we cannot just leave her!" she pleaded.

"he had our children, he had them under his knife!" jake replied, sort of whisper shouting.

neytiri let out a sigh and walked towards her bow, picking it up. "my father gave me this bow and he said protect the people. you're toruk makto!" she said to jake, her voice cracking from the strain.

"this will protect the peop—"

kiri got up and walked away.

"kiri!" ne'zula called, but she walked away.

ne'zula knew that she needed space, so she left her alone and walked towards her tent. she had a restless night and slept very little, so she left to clear her head. she walked towards kum'ko. she mounted her and flew to her favorite spot. it was a gorgeous, tall tree. kum'ko perched on one of the strong branches, and ne'zula got off her and just sat there, with her knees to her chest, thinking about what would happen to her when the sullys left. what would she do? a tear rolled down her cheek as she thought about her friends, no, family. Her family.

sunrise rolled around, and she was just staring into the sunrise. Her eyes were glazed, unfocused. she was, yet again, zoning out. this time with a blank mind and a tear stained face.

(LOAK POV)

i wanted to check on ne'zula, since i hadn't heard from her since last night. i walked to her tent and entered, but to my surprise, it was empty. i rushed back to our tent and approached dad.

"dad, zula's not at her tent" i said in a state of panic.

"dad, i know you said i'm grounded but i have to go——"  i was cut off by dad.

"go."  he said. i smiled at him and ran out of the tent towards his ikraan. i got on and knew exactly where ne'zula would be.

as i approached the tree, i saw ne'zula's ikraan already there. she was sitting, staring ahead. i sat next to her, but i don't think she noticed that i had even come her, so i tapped her shoulder. that seemed to do the trick.

"whatcha thinking about?" i asked

"you." she said. my eyes widened, but i didn't say anything. sadly, that was not the complete thing she said. after a pause, she continued "you, neteyam, kiri, tuk, all of you. what will i do when you guys leave? you're like family, you are my family." she went on as she rested her head on my shoulder.

family??! i'm like family to her? ouch. i thought.

"i'll fix this, don't worry." i said, and gave her a reassuring smile as i mounted my ikraan and flew back to the village.
