TSIREYA WALKED THE SULLY FAMILY TO THEIR MĀORI PODS.....
"this us your new home!" tsireya kindly said, placing the things she was helping the family carry down. neteyam was still gawking at tsireya, but she didn't notice.
"this is great!" jake said, trying to lighten the mood. "this is nice right?" he turned to the others for reassurance.
neytiri bluntly dropped the carpet she was holding onto the ground and took a deep breath.
"actually...you guys get three māori pods, because you have a large family." tsireya awkwardly said. "the two other ones are neighboring this one." she continued.
"well, okay." jake said as he turned to the older kids. "you guys can choose your roomate. tuk will be staying with neytiri and i, though."
kiri and ne'zula looked at each other with excitement in their eyes.
"i wanna share with kiri!" "i wanna share with ne'zula!" the girls said in sync. they both smiled and tried to contain their excitement. lo'ak looked a little disappointed though. he probably wanted to share with ne'zula.
"training starts tomorrow." tsireya informed. "i'll let you guys get settled in. i'll be in my family's māori pod if you guys need anything!" she turned around and was about to walk out but then remembered something. "oh yeah, and dinner will be at eclipse." she said with a smile, then left.
"bye" neteyam said as she left. lo'ak looked at him and snickered.
"oh cmon bro." neteyam said, obviously irritated.
"you were looking at her like she's eywa." lo'ak said as he continued to laugh.
neteyam reached for lo'ak's ear, and whispered "bro, don't think you're so slick with your crush on zula"
that made lo'ak freeze and immediately stop laughing. the poor boy blushed in embarrassment and stormed off to his and his brother māori pod. Neteyam was hysterically laughing as lo'ak left.
"what's so funny??" ne'zula asked, confused.
"nothing" neteyam said, still laughing.
kiri and ne'zula just gave him a weird look and left for their māori.
on the way there, ne'zula spotted the boy who made eye contact with her earlier. he spotted her aswell and approached her.
"hey" he said. "welcome to our clan. i'm tey'lar."
she smiled "hey, i'm ne'zula."
just then, kiri shouted. "zulaa!!! get your ass here or i get to choose the side first!!"
ne'zula gave tey'lar another smile before saying "well, i guess i better get going. see you around." and she walked off.
lo'ak was watching this whole interaction from his māori as it was like 3 steps away. his blood boiled. again.

"hmm...." ne'zula said out loud, purposefully trying to annoy kiri.
"oh my eywa hurry the fuck up" kiri snapped.
ne'zula laughed "okay, okay! i'll choose left."
"i'm literally a thousand years old now." kiri remarked sarcastically, and ne'zula just smiled in response.
the girls neatly set up their corresponding sides and made themselves at home. kiri wasn't all that excited about the move and it showed, but she tried her best. ne'zula could see it on her face.
"kiri?" ne'zula lightly whispered.
"hm?"
"how do you like it here?"
"it's alright i haven't been here long enough to judge—- anyways, who was that guy you were talking to?" kiri replied but quickly changed the topic. she had a grin on her face and ne'zula rolled her eyes.
"i don't know, he just smiled at me earlier and decided to introduce himself i guess.." ne'zula said.
"he's cute though, isn't he?" kiri replied, wiggling her eyebrows and teasing ne'zula.
ne'zula picked up a small twig that was on the floor and threw it at kiri with a teethy smile as she rolled her eyes. "shut uppppp" ne'zula said, clearly flustered. "he is though" ne'zula continued. "his name is tey'lar."
at that moment, lo'ak appeared.
"hey." he said bluntly. "uh, it's time for dinner." he continued. he looked ne'zula in her eyes for a minute. his face had an unreadable expression. he then just walked away.
"what's with him...?" ne'zula asked.
"i don't know." kiri said, but in reality, knew exactly what was wrong.
"cmon, let's go."
they made their way to the area where everyone was eating. it was the whole clan, so the place was huge. the two girls spotted their family and sat next to them. ne'zula sat next to lo'ak and kiri sat in front of ne'zula.

as they were eating, lo'ak barely talked and ne'zula made eye contact with tey'lar a couple times. when she tried to steal a glance of him, he was already looking at her, and smiled when they locked eyes.
lo'ak saw this a couple times and quickly finished his food so he could get back to his māori. he got up and was about to leave, before jake stopped him.
"hey, where are you going?" jake inquired.
"going to sleep." he dryly answered and kinda stormed off.
