Aria like every morning cooked for her family. They didn't allow her to eat breakfast, claiming it was a waste. If she had been good that day she was allowed leftovers, they always made stupid reasons why she hadn't behaved.
The biggest one being the food wasn't ready by a certain time or the house wasn't clean. Her younger sister was to blame for that. After cleaning the house Brianna would always find a way to purposely mess it up.
Luke, her older brother wasn't as bad, he rarely got involved choosing to ignore her most of the time. When he did get involved which was rare he was not a good person.
"Aria come here" her father ordered.
Aria quickly did as he ordered not wanting to be beaten.
"You know the rules don't you" he said glaring at her. She didn't look up though, looking up was forbidden unless instructed otherwise.
"Yes sir" she wasn't allowed to call him dad, same went with her mother, she was only allowed to refer to them as 'sir' and 'ma'am'.
"Well what are they" he asked testing her.
"no making friends , keep my grades high, no eating at lunch, do what I'm told, don't tell anyone about what happens " she replied.
"Good. Luke will report back to me anything you do wrong so don't think you can get away with anything "
"Yes sir" she replied. In the past Luke hadn't told their father about eating at lunch but when he did, there was always consequences.
Recently Luke was becoming more and more like his father."Now clean up and go to school" he ordered dismissing her.
Luke could drive however Aria was made to walk. She presumed this was the case again so she needed to hurry up if she would get to school on time.Short time skip
"Hey Ares, did you hear there's three new kids" Ethan said as he approached his best friend that morning. Ares rolled his eyes "I don't really care" Ares had no interest in whoever the new kids were, if he wanted something out of them, he would get it.
"I heard one was a senior and one is in our year. The other one is a freshman" Ethan explained ignoring Ares comment."Still don't care" Ares explained as he slammed his locker shut.
"I wonder if she's hot, the new girl in our year I mean" Ethan said still ignoring Ares.
"Take a look around Ethan, the majority of girls here are stuck up bitches who will do anything" he said choosing not to acknowledge the comment.
He walked off quickly with his friend trailing behind.
The two boys never saw any of the new kids. The boys met Xander and a few others at lunch time for a quick football meeting. Xander was the captain, once a week he would have a meeting to let them know the training times or any try outs taking place.
"We will be holding try outs later this evening. This is Luke everyone, I believe he might just make the team if he's as good as he says he is" Xander announced to the team.
Xander was one of the best players the school had ever had so he was allowed to make a lot of decisions as long as the coach agreed.
"Must be a new kid" Ethan whispered causing Ares to roll his eyes.
"I don't like him" Ares mumbled after looking at the older boy. Something was off about him. He didn't know what but he knew there was something wrong.
After the meeting was over Ares found himself confronting the boy. The rest of the team had left, he told Ethan he would catch him up, Xander had stayed behind to talk to Luke and then he left to find the sign up sheet. "ever played football before or are you all talk" Ares asked.
"At my old school, yes. What's it to you? You're just a kid "
Ares hated being treated like a kid. "I can tell our captain over there that you don't seem like team material and I can assure you if you do join the team I'm gonna make it hell for you"
"Oh please, you're just a newbie, the captain wouldn't take advise from a kid" Luke stated.
"That's true...but I think my brother would make an exception for me" and with that Ares left knowing he would have Luke wondering what Ares would say.
Meanwhile Aria headed to the library, her first day was awful and it was only lunch time. She was already labelled as the weird girl when a group of girls cornered her before. She hated the school already. She wasn't allowed lunch and she wasn't allowed friends so like any other school she would spend it in the library.
She loved to read though so the library wasn't too bad but she felt lonely.
She had no one afterall
