I couldn't sleep properly remembering everything that happened. Ilang taon ang lumipas–puro sakit at lungkot ang dinanas ko–at pagkatapos lamang ng isang gabi ay nagbago ang sitwasyon.

It was like that night at Yellowknife, when everything was too good to be true, and then it suddenly darkened.

It was a memory of both happiness and pain. It was a memory that I held onto, even when it hurt me so much. It was a memory that kept me happy and pained at the same time. At sa tagal ng panahon na lumipas, unti-unti ko na ring natanggap.

This change though..will I slowly accept it? Or will I keep on running away from it?

Now that Levi knows the truth, he will chase me. No..he'll actually chase me even if he didn't find out. Wala siyang pakialam sa kahit ano mang dahilan.

And what's my reason for running away when I know that I still have feelings for him? Why can't I just accept him and be happy? Like how I accepted the idea of losing him back then? Bakit ang hirap para sa akin ang piliin maging masaya? Bakit lagi akong nagpaparaya?

I slept that night pondering about my feelings. At nagising nalang ako kinabukasan sa sunod-sunod na katok sa kwarto ko.

I stood up from the sofa where I'm sleeping. I stretched a bit. Medyo sumakit ang likod ko dahil hindi naman iyon kasing-laki ng sofa na tinutulugan ko sa condo ko.

"Are you still sleeping?" I heard Martin's voice.

I rolled my eyes heavenwards before walking towards the door to open it. Bumungad sa akin si Martin na mukhang bagong gising lang din.

"Good morning, our queen," he said with sarcasm.

"What do you want?"

He showed me the clothes he's holding and his towel. "Makikiligo ako. Ang tagal maligo ng boys."

I sighed and opened the door widely so he can come in. "Ginising mo ako para makiligo?" I asked unbelievably.

Pumasok ito sa kwarto habang isinara ko naman ang pinto. He grinned at me when I looked at him.

"Bakit? Napuyat kaba? Nag-usap kayo ni Sir Levi?"

Napairap ako. "Stop it, Martin. It's too early to talk about that."

"Engineer Tiffany said that she saw him went straight to your room when he arrived last night." He looked at me with so much accusation.

I sighed. "He brought me food, that's all. Hindi ko siya pinapasok. I even declined the food he brought."

His eyebrows shot up suspiciously. "Ba't ka defensive?"

Tinitigan ko siya. "Akala ko makikiligo ka?" Itinuro ko ang bathroom.

He chuckled. Naglakad siya palapit doon at tumatawang pumasok.

I rolled my eyes heavenwards. Umupo ako sa kama at kinuha naman ang maleta ko para makapili na ng isusuot para sa araw na ito.

I don't know what we'll do today, siguro ay mag-susupervise lang sa construction. Wala ring scheduled meetings.

I prepared the clothes that I'll wear—denim shorts and a white button down long sleeves polo. It's usually my outfit whenever I check on the construction, kumportable kasi iyon at hindi naman kailangang formal.

Nang natapos ay kinuha ko naman ang cellphone ko. I scrolled through my social media accounts while waiting for Martin. Nang nainip ay tumigil din ako at nag-charge.

Halos kakaupo ko palang ulit nang may kumatok sa pintuan. I sighed and stood up to open it. Nagulat ako nang si Levi ang bumungad sa akin, bagong ligo at mabango, kumpara sa akin na halos kakagising lang. Napakurap ako at hindi nakapagsalita agad.
