A/n: I've only recently gotten into f1 so I might not be correct on everything, feel free to correct me it would be much appreciated.

Charles pov:

I woke up with a pounding headache, I frowned and shrugged it off, I got up and took some pain killers before hopping in the shower. As I got out of the shower I felt a wave a nausea rush through me, I frowned and glanced at myself in the mirror, I looked terrible, I was pale and visibly shaking. I dried off and changed into some comfy but still nice clothes, I sat in my bed until it was time to leave for the track, I was going to drive there with Pierre.

I stood up to leave, and my vision went weird, it was tunnelled and I could see dots, time seemed to move in slow motion as my legs gave out and I blacked out.

I woke up on the ground, I lay there for a second before sitting up, I glanced at the clock to find I hadn't even been out a minute. I sat there for a couple minutes until I felt good enough to stand up. As I stood up I was fully hit with how exhausted I was, I sat on the bed and held my head in my hands. My phone buzzed and I saw a text from Pierre asking where I was, I sighed and told him I was coming before grabbing my bag and walking out the door.

I walked into the lobby of my hotel and forced a smile at Pierre who was waiting for me,
"Took you long enough." He said, he glanced up from his phone and frowned when he looked at me, "you okay?" He asked,
"Yeah I'm good, let's go." I said walking out the door, Pierre shrugged and followed me. We walked in silence to his car and got in, as we drove to the track I leaned my head on the nice cold window and closed my eyes.

"Charles are you sure your okay?" Pierre asked,
"Your acting weird and you don't look so good, are you sick?" He asked, I frowned a little, I wasn't sick, I don't think. I had never fainted in my life before and I was definitely shook up by the whole ordeal but I kept it to myself afraid I wouldn't be allowed to drive this weekend,
"Yeah I'm fine, I'm just tired didn't have a great sleep last night." I lied, Pierre gave me a look and I could tell he didn't quite believe me but he dropped the subject. The rest of the car ride was silent, both of us in our own thoughts.

When we got to the racetrack, we got out and walked through the paddock, we went our separate ways heading to our different teams. When I reached Ferraris hospitality i found Carlos sitting on a couch going over some strategies. I plopped down next to him with a sigh, "hi." I said, he glanced up at me,
"Oh my! Are you okay?" He asked concern in his eyes, I sighed I was getting a little annoyed.
"Yes I'm fine!" I said annoyance laced in my voice, Carlos frowned,
"Your really pale, you sure?" He asked,
"Yes, I'm fine, just tired, leave me alone." I snapped, Carlos held his hands in the air and changed the subject to strategies.

An hour or two later Carlos and I headed to the drivers meeting, we were the last ones to walk in. I sat down in between Carlos and max with pierre on the other side of max, and Lando and Daniel on the other side of Carlos. George, Lewis, Yuki, Fernando, and checo were in front of us, the rest of the drivers were behind us. I felt my head ache coming back as I sat down, I frowned and rubbed my temples.
"You okay?" Max asked softly, I glared at him,
"Yes." I snapped, he frowned and looked at Carlos questioningly, Carlos shrugged.
"What's got you all grumpy?" Lewis asked turning around to face us, I sighed in frustration as that drew even more attention to me.
"Nothing I'm fine, just a little tired." I said,
"And grumpy." Pierre added, I glared at him,
"Leave me alone." I mumbled, they exchanged looks before changing the subject to racing while they waited for the meeting to start. I zoned the out, i was brought back to reality when I was hit by a wave of dizziness, i panic slightly, I really did not want to faint again. I swallowed and blinked trying to make it pass, I grew more panicked when my ears started ringing, I was so confused and scared but I forced my self to remain expressionless. I didn't want anyone finding out and making a big deal and I was honestly scared of what could be wrong with me, hopefully I was just sick.

My hands felt clammy and sweaty and I was slightly shaking, my vision was starting to tunnel and I was seeing dots. My chest hurt and my heart beater painfully.

"Charles?" I heard someone say my name.

Max pov:

"Charles?" I asked cautiously when I noticed him shaking, his eyes were weirdly blank and he was super pale, I panicked as his eyes closed and he fell forwards. I quickly caught him and lowered him to the ground, everyone was on their feet moving the chairs and freaking out. I knelt on one side of him with Lewis on the other and Pierre holding Charles head on his lap.

"What's wrong with him?" Lando asked anxiously, I shrugged, I kept my hand over his wrist making sure I could still fell a pulse.
"I knew something was wrong, he was off all day." Pierre said, his voice was full of regret,
"There's was nothing you could've done, he's stubborn, plus we all noticed something was wrong so don't blame yourself." Lewis said. My attention was drawn back to Charles as his hand twitched,
"He's waking up!" I said, we all watched in silence as his eyes slowly fluttered open, it took a couple seconds for his eyes to focus.

"What happened?" He asked, his voice sounded weak,
"You fainted." I explained, he frowned,
"Again?" He asked, Pierre and I glanced at each other concerned,
"What do you mean again?" Pierre asked concerned,
"I fainted this morning in my hotel room." Charles explained quietly,
"And you didn't tell me?" Pierre asked offended,
"I didn't want anyone to make a fuss, I'm fine." Charles said he tried to sit up but I pushed him back down.

"You just passed out, give yourself a couple minutes." I said, he sighed. The other drivers moved away a bit and sat back down so it wasn't as awkward for Charles. I watched as Charles slowly relaxed, the more he relaxed tho, the more exhausted he looked. After a couple minutes we slowly helped Charles up, then led him over to a chair, he sat down and Pierre sat next to him, Charles leaned on Pierre.

"I think you should go to the hospital." Lewis suggested, Charles immediately shook his head,
"I think it would be wise." I added, Charles shook his head again,
"You've fainted twice in one day and obviously don't feel well I highly suggest going to the hospital." Daniel said. Charles frowned,
"I'm fine." He said, I roll my eyes,
"No your not." Lando said,
"Charles, I know you hate hospitals and for good reasons, and I understand that your scared but for your health and career, you need to go." Pierre said.

Charles pov:

I felt tears well up in my eyes as I look at Pierre, I finally nod and Pierre and Lando help me up and to Pierre's car. We drive to the hospital in silence and Pierre helps me into the hospital with Lando following behind. I'm taken into a room and Pierre and Lando are taken to a waiting room. The doctor runs a bunch of tests, and asks lots of questions before disappearing to get the test results. I'm sitting in the bed alone, with tears streaming down my face when a nurse lets Lando and Pierre into the room.

"Oh Charles." Pierre says sadly as Lando runs over to me and gives me a big hug,
"I feel awful, im so tired." I whispered, I moved over so Lando could sit on the bed next to me, i laid my head on his shoulder. I was almost asleep when the doctor came back in, he had a grin look on his face as he pulled up a chair and sat next to the bed.
"So Charles, you have something called POTS, Postural tachycardia syndrome, or sometimes called postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. It is an abnormal increase in heart rate that occurs after sitting up or standing. Some typical symptoms include dizziness and fainting." He explained, I swallow anxiously,
"Are there treatments?" I asked, the doctor grimaced,
"No, there is no cure for it, with some people it gets better with some people it gets worse. Things you should probably avoid is heat, dehydration, alcohol, standing to long and exercise. If you start getting symptoms of fainting lying down should help bring the blood back to your brain." The dock explained,
"But he's a f1 driver." Lando said, the doctor nodded,
"Yes I am aware of that, if it was me I would quit driving, it's to much of a risk, however, do to the position that your in, in the car, I think the chances of fainting are slim. You'd have to learn how to read yourself to tell wether or not it's safe to drive, but I would say it's fine." He explained, I nodded,
"So I have options?" I asked,
"Yes exactly don't hastily make your decision, but yes you do. As far as why you still feel bad is, it's similar to epilepsy where after you have an episode, fainting, you are exhausted, it's normal and will probably happen every time you faint." The doctor explained. He explained some more things before I was allowed to leave, we went back to my hotel and I immediately fell asleep.
