After Raiden was done saying his goodbyes to the monster girl, he caught on to the spreading fire.
Luka: Alright... Err... This isn't good!
The flames are quickly spreading, as more and more of the library catches fire.
Alice: Haha... Look at it spread.
Luka: What the hell are you laughing for? We need to do something!
Luka: If you're the Monster Lord, use water magic or something?
Alice: I could submerge this entire castle underwater if I wanted, with my power.... But it's pretty difficult to limit my power. I don't really have confidence in my control.
Luka: What the hell do you mean by that?
Alice: I'm not really good at water magic.
Luka: Grr....
Raiden: Great, we just need a fire extinguisher- They don't have a fire extinguisher invented in this world, do they?
Raiden: Ahhh, shit, just realized that.
Guard Captain: Are you finding everything alright, Lu... What the hell is this!
Luka: Umm... This is...
Raiden: Some monsters decided to camp on the library and while we were defending ourselves, let's just say that one of the monsters had fire magic and torched the place.
Luka: That's not true! It was the monster lord who did it!
Raiden: That was the Monster Lord!?
Raiden playing along and Luka also getting it right plays by the head of the guard captain, who fell into their joke somehow.
Guard Captain: What! The Monster Lord! Not only destroying the holy sword, but now setting fire to our library!?
Guard Captain: Anyway, we have to rescue the books! First put out the fire! We can't let it spread!
The Guars Captain started to issue orders to the guards rushing to the library.
The three slip out of the library amidst the confusion.
The group head to the town surrounding San Ilia Castle. Alice is following the two with her head down and Raiden seemed like he was about to punch her but at the same time, had the reaction of waking up and realizing.
Alice: Really, this time I'm actually sorry. Accidental fires like that are really horrible, I try to avoid them in my own castle.
Raiden: Next time, don't try to cook potatoes inside a library. You got that right?
Alice: Sorry....
Alice: Anyways, I got the [Four Animists and their Sources] book from before. I took it in the commotion.
Luka: Oh! Tha... No, I'm not going to thank you, you were the one that messed up everything in the first place.
Alice: I'm sorry...
Raiden: Cool it, boy. Any more criticism and this'll go south any second.
Raiden: We both do forgive you if you're sorry, by the way.
Raiden: Now it is time to read the book properly without any distractions, those monsters are annoying.
