"I can't believe that she's seriously considering quitting." Foggy says in the taxi, eyeing the driver with slight suspicion.

"I mean... it is a shit firm." Matty rubs his forehead, feeling the smell of whole New York in the car.

"Yeah, but it's paying well. I wouldn't do that in her place." The driver steals a look at Matt, breaking his focus from the road. The taxi wobbles to the side a little.

"Landman and Zack were paying well too and yet we still left." Matt argues.

"That's another story."

"Maybe that's the same story, just a little too late." Matt turns his head, as if he was looking at the view of passing buildings and streets.

"How do you know it?" Foggy raises his eyebrows and intently stares at Matt long enough for him to turn away from the window.

"Just a feeling." Matt says after some time, which causes Foggy's eyebrows to rise even higher.

"A feeling?"

"Yeah, a feeling. I think she has finally decided to be on the side of the law, instead of money."

"Well, she never struck me as a person who goes around showing how rich they are. When we went to the gallery, she said that her car belonged to her dad for 10 years. A rich person would buy a new one." Foggy thinks for a moment. "But if she quits, then where she's going to work?"

"We could take her in." Matt says nonchalantly, as if he wasn't thinking about that since last night.

"Are you serious?" Foggy involuntary raises his voice, and then quickly lowers it, after receiving an angry stare from the front. "We can barely pay for Karen and for the office, I'm not even talking about us."

"Another set of helping hands would be great, Foggy." Matt leans closer to him, "she has experience, legal knowledge and resources, besides she's on a bilboard, and you know what that means for us."

"You seriously want to gain more clients by using her fame? I don't really see a correlation between you and this argument." Foggy furrows his eyebrows, sensing a hidden reason behind that statement.

"We could use real money and we both know that." Matt says, and when the words leave his mouth he starts seeing the bigger picture immediately. At first, he never saw this as business idea, his heart was craving for more contact with you, simply because he wasn't sure where you will go, and if he will get another chance at seeing you in court. Now he understood that having a famous lawyer like you might send Nelson and Murdock to another level, they might finally be able not only to pay off their debts but also help more people. Karen was a great addition to the firm, but she wasn't a real lawyer.

"We can't fire Karen, can we?" Foggy asks cautiously.

"We'll do everything we can to keep her for as long as she wants."

"But four people, Matt. We don't have that much space."

"I'm sure we will manage somehow. If y/n agrees."

"IF she really leaves. Although after last night, I think the impossible is really possible." Foggy sighs, not sure how he feels about the whole situation, especially after the court session took such a turn today.

Matt waited until the city calmed down a little. The devil waited. He had to learn everything he could about your deal with Benowitz, so, of course, he came to Hogarth, Chao and & Benowitz for a little chat with dear old pal Steven. The latter was still in his office, desperately trying to save Melissa's ass, with any kind of evidence against Annie.
