Light

Tragedy is darkness.
Like a pit nuzzled into your stomach, demanding to be known.
It's the limp smile or the glassed eyes that are waiting to be shown.
It can create pools of blood or pools of tears,
Depending on the size.
But no matter what, that same feeling of darkness will arise.
So when you feel that pit dug right into your gut,
remember everyone holds their own and are unable to tape it shut.
No cello tape or prickstick glue will scavenge what is left in its wake.
But the consequences are for you to grow and for you to take.
A light can not shine unless in a darkened room, and a plant can not grow.
So the universe may not glimmer in the darkness, when a star can not glow.
